Fisher & Paykel 24" Single DishDrawer Dishwasher, Model DS603SS
What is DishDrawer®?
DishDrawer® is two totally separate, independently operated wash units, the DishDrawer® delivers two dishwashers in one.
DishDrawer® allows you to mix delicate crystal and heavily soiled baking dishes all at the same time, washing the delicate glassware and crockery in one wash unit on the delicate cycle, with pots and pans in the other wash unit on a heavy duty cycle. Because DishDrawer® lets you match the wash program to the type of load, there is no compromise. Dishes are better cared for.
Environmentally Outstanding
DishDrawer® is kind on the environment, minimizing water, energy and detergent used, so it costs less to run. It introduces the economical, guilt free small load, by using as little as 2.4 gallons of water per unit. A single unit of half a load, means you save half the energy, water and detergent. Breakfast or lunch dishes can be taken care of immediately.
Superior Ergonomics
DishDrawer® is ergonomically superior, incorporating the familiar kitchen sliding unit concept into dishwashing, giving the user easier access, improved visibility and less movements to open, load and close. Now you can open and close the dishwasher just like every other kitchen unit.
Flexibility
No two households are the same, as family units grow, Fisher & Paykel now gives you the opportunity to develop with these changes.
Start small...
DishDrawer® is also available as a single unit and can be installed independently to accommodate small households, limited spaces and unique requirements. Even a single DishDrawer® comfortably fits 12 large dinner plates or a full seven place setting. So when space is at a premium or the household is small, you can still enjoy all the convenience, economy and efficiency of a DishDrawer® - in half the space of a conventional dishwasher.
...Then get bigger
As your family grows and your lifestyle changes, your DishDrawer® can grow with you. Accommodate extra entertaining and the demands of a bigger household by adding a single DishDrawer® - when and where you need it the most.
So whether your demands are large or small, whether your household is growing or contracting, the single DishDrawer® gives you freedom to design and use your kitchen without compromise. Think outside the square - we did when we developed DishDrawer® - Don't unload the dishes at all - Think of DishDrawer® as a storage unit that washes dishes.
The Hidden DishDrawer®
Fully Integrated
An integrated finish enables you to conceal the DishDrawer® in the same cabinetry as the rest of your kitchen. So outwardly, you DishDrawer® appears to be nothing more than another set of kitchen units - with the only hint of its presence being a stylish control badge.
Choose your own finish
Units frontages can be finished in almost any material you choose - wood, laminates or paneling. So whether your kitchen is traditional, country or simplistically modern, your integrated DishDrawer® will all but disappear, beautifully.
Integrated models come with a Bright Chrome control badge. Additional control badges in Satin Black, Brass and Satin Chrome are available upon request.
The electronic display window is not a feature of the Integrated DishDrawer® models.
What Noise
DishDrawer® is one of the quietest dishwashers on the market with a dB rating of 43 for the single DishDrawer® and 48 for the double DishDrawer®. Your current dishwasher probably runs at 60-65 dB.
What excellent wash performance
No other dishwasher on the market changes as many variables of the wash when you change a wash cycle. With a conventional dishwasher, when you change a wash cycle, all you are really changing is the length of the wash cycle and, in some dishwasher's, the water temperature.
When you change the wash cycle on the DishDrawer® you not only change the time and the temperature, you change the amount of water pressure used. So, your delicate dishes are treated delicately and a more strenuous water pressure is used for your heavy dishes.
Also, Fisher & Paykel has designed the first flow through detergent dispenser in the industry. So, with the DishDrawer®, the detergent is not just "spilled" into the drawer at a designated time during the cycle as it is with a conventional dishwasher. DishDrawer® premixes the detergent with water to activate the enzymes of the detergent so that it can go to work on your dirty dishes. This also serves to "soften" the detergent and decrease the chance of detergent burn on you dishes.
