I bought washer and dryer, it is easy to use, great settings for all different washes, enjoying every time I use (use it much much less than the top load, electricity and water bill lowered), quiet machines (in beginning kept on going back to use if machines are working), very happy with all the options that is has, can over-ride the machine if I want water colder or hotter, spin lower or higher, extra rinse if I need to (used extra rinse in top load), door locks when it starts washing (cannot open while in use), used the dryer steam to clean all the stuff animals (Wow). Now the kids want to do laundry, an Amazing product. It's worth the money.

We have had our WM4070HVA washer for about 6 months. Within the first week, our washer started leaking sudsy water when processing towels (i.e., during the rinse cycle). The leak would occur from an overflow port in the rear. The overflow port is under the hot and cold water connections. An LG service technician reviewed our unit. He replaced a check-valve behind the overflow port. Odd, given that this unit was brand new. But he was trying to cover all possible root causes. He also told us to reduce the amount of detergent we use. In response, we reduced the amount of detergent we use. The problem still persisted. Then, we changed detergent brands but maintained the reduced amount of detergent. The problem still persisted. We called LG Service which sent a second LG technician. The LG technician said we needed to reduce the amount of detergent we use. In light of our efforts, his recommendation was ridiculous. Above the detergent tray, LG has placed a sticker that reads, "Designed specifically for HE detergent". We use HE liquid detergent. The detergent tray is marked with graduated lines that correspond to "Normal" and "Maximum" size loads. We never exceed the lowest graduation mark for "Normal", and often use detergent levels below this mark. Note that the lowest graduation mark for "Normal" is the lowest mark on the tray scale. My wife and I have tried manually to determine the proper amount of detergent for towels. But because the WM4070HVA changes the water amount based on the weight of the towels, any "experiments" we run are hit-or-miss. Of course, if we use too little detergent, the towels are not properly cleaned. WM4070HVA is, unfortunately, poorly designed. First, the graduated lines should be useful for all load cycles. That includes the "Towel" cycle. Second, the overflow system and its associated components should be more robust to various detergent concentrations. If LG specifies a "Normal" graduation in the detergent tray, then the overflow system should be able to handle that when towels are washed. Period. The design problem with the WM4070HVA is simple: It weighs loads to determine the proper amount of water, but then does nothing to determine the matching amount of detergent. The user is left to figure it out. Unfortunately, it is virtually impossible to know the amount of water added into the drum - especially since the water is added after the cycle starts and the door locks! WM4070HVA is an expensive washer. At this price level, LG should have incorporated an automatic dispensing system. The system would work as follows: The unit weighs the load to determine the proper amount of water, The dispensing system determines the proper amount of detergent, based on the cycle selected and the amount of water, The water is dispensed into the drum and the drum starts agitating the load, The dispensing system removes the appropriate amount of detergent from a detergent reservoir, The dispensing system dilutes the detergent with a predetermined amount of water. The predetermined amount of water takes into account the water already in the drum. The dispensing system adds the diluted detergent into the drum while the load is being agitated. In this design, the user only needs to check the reservoir to make sure it is full of detergent.

Really loving our new washer!
from Lolo, Montana
Comments about LG White TurboWash Front Load Washer:
We did quite a bit of research for a new washer/dryer and settled on LG due to it's high reviews and rankings. This washer has not disappointed at all--love the size, which is great for our big family, and love how quiet it is. We have a second-floor laundry room, so noise and vibration was a concern--and a significant reason we were replacing our old set. So far, we can't even tell this machine is on when we're on the floor below it--very quiet and NO vibration, even when it's spinning...

So far, it is the best front load washer I've purchased. Love the special features and I would highly recommend the brand.

This is the best washing machine we have ever purchased. Our handicapped daughter learned to run this washer in no time. Very easy to operate, and uses very little soap and water.
I need more dirty clothes!
from Peyton, CO
After having a Swedish (small size) washing machine for many years, the large capacity of this LG machine has made us realize that we need more clothes to wear and wash. We have yet to fill up the machine to anywhere near the washing capacity that this machine is capable of doing. The ability of the machine to size the load and wash accordingly will be a real savings in water usage even compared to the smaller machine we had before. Lots of chimes and lights are making our washing experience a real joy along with the clean clothes we have as a result. We feel we made a good choice.

We have had our machine for about 2-3 months and have used it extensively. We have washed a variety of items in it - everything from hand wash items to large bulky blankets and comforters. It has performed well with each item we have washed. It is a generally quiet machine, even when spinning, though does have about 30 seconds or so of bursts of water entering the machine when a load first begins which is a little noisy. This has not been at all problematic. Cycles are much faster than our older front load washer and time to finish on the digital display has been very accurate. I would purchase this machine again without question.
Great Washing Machine
from Phoenix, AZ, USA
This is a great wash machine. The steam for added cleaning is really nice. We use a lot less liquid soap than our other HE front loader. We are saving money in soap water and electricity with shorter drying times. I highly recommend this wash machine.
This washer has lots great features
Clothes come out very fresh smelling. Can do king size comforters that I use to have to take to the laundry mat. Lots of cycles for all kinds of laundry.
Never had anything better.

Ever since we got this washer our clothes smell cleaner and look cleaner. We had a number of washers in our life but never one this good. If I ever need another I will not think twice about buying another one like I have. This machine has more features then we will ever need. All you do is put your detergent and push the buttons. We have the matching dryer and they look good together.

Made the switch to a front load washer and choose the LG WM4070HWA with a pedestal. First wash was a cinch and a joy to complete. Do I need to mention that it washed a full load of clothes in less that 30-minutes? With the steam cycles your clothes come out cleaner than clean! A deep and thorough clean that cannot be beat. We choose this model for its 4.3-cubic foot size, and price when purchased (free second pedestal).
