My home was not fitted for a built-in dishwasher. Rather than pay for expensive plumbing, purchasing this portable dishwasher was a more practical idea. And thanks to Whirlpool, using this dishwasher couldn't be easier. The connector provided fits both external and internal threading on the faucet. Delayed wash means that the dishwasher is never out in the middle of the floor during the day. And my plastic ware is always clean and EXACTLY where I left it in the dishwasher .. not thrown all over the inside. I have even grown to love the portable part of the dishwasher .. how many of your friends can say they can roll their dishwasher to the dining table to load the dishes instead of having to carry all the dishes back to the kitchen. My dinner party guests were amazed and even wanted to help thinking this was some new cool idea!!! I love it! Thanks Whirlpool.

This dishwasher has a nice "countertop" that has proven very useful, and we even use it occasionally as an "island" for additional prep space in our smallish kitchen. It rolls very smoothly and feels solidly built, and the exterior finish is basic but nice. We really like that there is a sanitize cycle, as it makes bottle cleaning much easier and safer. The quick connect is also pretty easy to use. Downsides are that it doesn't always get tough dishes perfectly clean (e.g. dried cheese and pasta sauces should be pre-scrubbed in the sink), but this seems to be a universal problem with dishwashers. The door and racks don't operate as smoothly as I would have hoped: the door takes some effort to open, and it will stay in place if you leave it partially open, rather than swinging the rest of the way down or shut; likewise, the racks need to be pushed or pulled all the way to where you want them -- you can't just "bat" them and expect them to slide the rest of the way on their own. The bottom rack also misses the track on the door sometimes (again, a fairly common dishwasher problem). The dishwasher is quieter than some monsters we've had in the past but still somewhat noisy, and the hose and drain connection to the sink can be noisy, particularly when filling or draining. The sink connection also "dribbles" water while in operation (the quick-connect is by no means water-tight) -- it doesn't spray, but it probably means at least a gallon of water or more is wasted every time the dishwasher is run. Also, the quick connect that you are required to install on your kitchen faucet has screens but no aerator, so water comes out essentially the same as it would from a garden hose with no attachment: in a thick, fast stream. We wish there were an additional quick connect to add an aerator when the dishwasher is not in use, as the garden hose stream is wasteful and much more "splashy" when doing dishes by hand. The cycles are also surprisingly long: we expected 45 minutes to an hour, but they seem to last more like 2 hours (even just the regular cycle with no heated dry). One additional thing to keep in mind is that the manufacturer recommends removing and sealing off any accessory "spray hoses" that you may have installed in your kitchen sink, to avoid any risk of the hose bursting. We find the spray hose is too useful to get rid of, though, and we simply retrofitted ours to add a ball valve at the connection from the faucet to the spray hose; when we want to use the dishwasher, we just flip the lever to cut off water to the hose. This is not the fanciest, nicest dishwasher you can buy, but we believe it is one of the best portable options on the market right now, and unless you opt for a truly "top-end" under-sink dishwasher, you will find the same disadvantages in most other dishwashers.

Cannot believe how little water it uses and still cleans the dishes. Just wish the faucet adaptor also restricted water flow when not using dishwasher.
Dishwasher does a good job cleaning dishes. Has even helped improve the looks of our silverware. Very Satisfied so far.

I was in need of a new portable dishwasher for awhile and was disappointed that most stores do not carry a floor model so I had to just order online I am pleased with the size and performance of this model the only down fall is you have no idea where the cycle is if you do not look at the clock prior to starting. There are 3 cycles to choose from, I normally use the 1 hr which does the job.
Dishes Look Like New!
from Green Bay, WI
We purchased the new portable Whirlpool dishwasher to replace our old portable Kitchen Aid. I had tried and tried to clean the old dishwasher, used better soap and a rinse aid product, but to no avail. The dishes and silverware kept coming out with a film on them. The new Whirlpool is amazing. It is easy to use and the dishes and silverware have come out looking new, bright and shiny. We're happy to be using genuinely CLEAN dishes and silverware. Thank you, Whirlpool, for an excellent dishwasher, that is enjoyable to use.

Cleaner than Clean!

We've had our dishwasher for a couple months now. We replaced a GE dishwasher that just wasn't getting the job done right. What a difference this whirlpool made. Our dishes come out spotless now. It's quiet and saves water. It runs a longer, intermittent cycle that really cleans well. It also rolls nicely---our old one didn't. You can't go wrong with the Whirlpool and the price was right.
Great. Portable dishwasher
I like how easy it is to move. It holds a lot of dishes and gets them exceptionally clean. Love the energy saver-one of the reasons I bought it!

I am quite pleased with my new portable dishwasher. My biggest complaint with all portable dishwashers is the sound. They are very loud. My Whirlpool is considerably quieter than the ones I have had in the past. My dishes come out very clean and overall I am very pleased with this dishwasher.

We bought thus portable dishwasher two months ago and are extremely happy with it. It is light weight, easy to move around. It has various different cycle options. We use 1 hour cycle and our dishes come out sparkling clean. I love the counter top. I have my dishwasher next to the stove and it gives me extra counter space. I have put a big cutting board on top on this counter. I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone looking for a portable dishwasher.
