Parrot enlisted world-renowned designer Phillipe Starck to craft the sleek lines of the the Zik. A flexible, synthetic-leather headband connects to cool alloy swivel-arms which hold the plush headphone cups firmly, yet comfortably, against your head.
Beneath the stylish surface is where the Parrot Zik headphones really shine, proving they're about more than just flair. Powered by Bluetooth technology, the Parrot Zik are also a pair of sophisticated wireless headphones, offering full connectivity to your smartphone. The combination of a bone conductor sensor and dual microphones also make them a wireless headset that captures your voice with impeccable clarity.
The lack of external buttons reveals another of the Parrot Zik's secrets: touch and motion sensitive headphone cups. Simple swipes up and down or back and forth along the outside of the headphones will adjust the volume or change the track. Similar gestures control phone functions. When you remove the headphones, Parrot Zik will automatically pause your music; put them back on and the music resumes.
Of course, all of the fanciest tricks in the book don't mean a thing without some stellar sound. Thankfully, the Parrot Zik delivers, in spades. The Zik's 40mm neodymium drivers reproduce a wide range of tones, while the Parrot Concert Hall audio processing algorithm creates an enveloping surround sound effect.
