Panasonic 50" Plasma Awesome

About Me Power User
Plasma color and resolution cannot be matched by the LCDs or the LEDs. The picture is dynamic, there is not pixelation, and this HDTV is advertised as 720p but will actually increase to 1080i if the station broadcasts to that. It is plasma so it is not energy conservative; but I wouldn't trade the picture on this (even in analog at 480p) for anything and the price couldn't be beat!!
Service and delivery comments:
The HDTV arrived 2000 miles away in 3 days after I ordered it. The driver came to the door and helped me bring it in the house. The delivery was faster than when I have ordered other items in my own state. And to top it all off you can't beat FREE DELIVERY...i DEFINITELY WILL BE SHOPPING FOR OTHER PRODUCTS FROM ABT!
Stunning Picture From Any Angle !

Compare this Panasonic 50", and the 42" to the $6,000 Pioneer Pro-110 FD? I've never seen another plasma even come close to the quality of these Viera X60 Series plasmas. Sure, you can't equate the video processors; yet it is hard to deny just how stunning the picture (after set-up, not the presets) really is. Some might be put off that this is a 720p, instead of 1080p. A few feet away, very little difference, especially since the Satellite outputs at 1080i. Don't forget that 720p is the high def. standard for ABC and Fox.I've had the very expensive Elite since 2007. A lot of improvements have occurred, and their costs have come down. I really can't believe the prices on the 50" and 42" sets. You can't get a panel repaired for the price of one of these. They made a 42" with WiFi, but it is no longer available. It would be nice to have, but given all the adjustments you can use to calibrate each input, and the fantastic picture these panels render, I can't believe there isn't a bigger differeence from the Elite. It is good to see such affordable panels (mine from ABT); and at a price so that you could afford more than one.NOTE: This review also applies to the two 42" panels as well.

This was a gift for my daughter. I have two of my own and I believe Panasonic has lived up to its name over the years. It's a great product. This is my first time using ABT and I have to say they offer you a great deal and delivery was received in a short period of time.
what a value!$

Unbeleivable bang for the dollar. I have HD cable & HDMI connected. Maybe the 1080 upgrade might have been worth it? I watch PPV in HD , looks movie quality. Comes in at 1080i ,,, you can't beat the value. Looks almost as good as TV's double the price.
