We couldn't be happier with this purchase. This Maytag has a lot of features that the more expensive dish washers have, such as SS tub, steam clean, auto clean with sensor and food grinder. Not to mention, this dishwasher only has a 50db level which you can only find in the most expensive dishwashers. I am very pleased with my purchase and look forward to a long relationship with my Maytag dishwasher.

Cleans well and is quiet, but doesn't hold a lot.

We needed a new dishwasher ASAP as ours had stopped working two days prior to having a party at our house. Our last one was LOUD so we wanted a very quiet unit this time. I am happy to say that we can now run it and watch TV in the other room without hearing it. We ran it a few times and it does seem to clean very well.My only real complaint is that it holds about 2/3 the amount of stuff as our old one. The bottom rack is really set up only for plates. Its near impossible to put medium to large pots or bowls in there without having them face down and take up the entire rack. ...aside for the interior size issue it does work well and looks nice. We've only run the normal cycle, so I can't say how great the other options are. I just wish we would have gone to see it before ordering it. I really home Maytag comes out with a different bottom rack. All could be cleared up if they allow for some of the separators to be folded down.

Bad control design

Comments about Maytag Stainless Jetclean Plus Dishwasher:
I purchased this dishwasher 18 months ago. It is now a non working using. The control panel has a mind of it own. I push for normal wash and it selects rinse only, I push auto and it selects rinse only with 2 hour delay. Regardless what button is push, it always selects something else that it wants, not what I want. IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY (BARLEY). No quality product should go bad in such a short time.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great dishwasher but...

Purchased about a Year and a half ago. A problem that arose, it wouldn't drain. I tried to detect with a diagnosis, but failed, s I set up an appointment with the Maytag repair site, and I had the repair done the day I scheduled it. The pump was broken...but the repair only took about an hour.

We installed this dishwasher about a month ago. It works wonderfully. I really enjoy the all stainless steal tub. Sturdy racks and rollers. Nice heavy door with great support for opening and closing. The look is clean and modern. Settings are easy to navigate. Super quiet. We have really hard water and the difference with water spots has been amazing. We are absolutely pleased with our purchase.

Replaced the original Whirlpool dishwasher that still worked, but my wife didn't like it.
Never again Maytag

I have had this dishwasher for a very short time and I already have to replace the control panel because the start button burned out. $140 for the replacement. If I'd known this was going to be an issue I would've gone with another brand. Then I got online and saw several other people say the same exact thing about their control panels. Very unhappy, Maytag.

I bought this dishwasher 13 months ago. It cleans the dishes Great and it is very quiet. Last week it stoped working. I am un able to select the "Normal" mode. The "Electronic control board" failed. It cost $152. plus labor. Two days later it stoped working again. This time it;s the ribbon cable that goes to the touchpad. Another $180. plus labor. It turns out that this is a common problem and there is remedy. Some people have posted thet this ribbon cable continues to fail over and over.

DO NOT BUY

Bought this dishwasher almost 2 years ago. Within 14 months it broke, the control panel does not function. If you google this model you will find it is a flaw and everyone's starts to break right after the warranty runs out. It is a shortage in the panel due to steam. Cost WAY too much to fix because it will happen again and again. It's a flaw. They know about it too. Never will buy a Maytag product again.

Worked fine for a year. Just after going out of warranty electrical problems started. Intermittently it would not take commands. Called a serviceman and it worked great while he was here. Now the control panel is lighting up by itself. This is not right for a product costing over $600. It should last much longer than this before problems occur. We are very disappointed in Maytag at this time.
