We also upgraded from a perfectly functional set of Panasonic wireless phones. The additional cell capabilities make it worth the money. We'll give the old set to one of the kids. Granted, I am still in the honeymoon phase, but the initial set up and install was instant. After that I spent 30 minutes pairing up to cell phones and testing that. Works great. Downloading my cell phone contacts worked right out of the manual. My wife's cell phone required her to take action on the cell phone while the Panasonic system was looking for entries via Bluetooth. Then we went through and deleted entries that we didn't need. All that took about an hour and a half, but it worked. Both our cell directories are now available from the home phone. Sweet. It reads the names in the phone book and announces calls from those numbers by that name. Very nice. My wife works from home. Now she can use the land line for 800 numbers without burning cell minutes, and the cell for long distance without incurring charges. All of that from the same handset. She can use her headset with the handsets or use the handsets as speaker phones. The phone rings all through the house even if work calls her cell phone and she is away from her desk. This is really nice for home office users. I have an on-call cell phone. Now I don't carry it around the house all the time. It just rings the phone. The cell phones stay inside while we are in the yard or by the pool,, but we still get our calls. At this point I only have one request for Panasonic. I hope they are reading. I'd pay for the ability to hook up more cell phones. Right now I need three, but I could see a family needing more than that. I would pay for another Bluetooth radio so two things or more could happen at the same time. Now that I have this, I'd probably pay up to double the system price if it added more paring. Well, okay, two requests. An optional type of handset that had more volume on the speaker feature and a mic volume option would be nice. Meanwhile, I will enjoy what I do have. Great features and the same great phones we always had. If you like your current Panasonic phone, you'll like this one with more features. If you don't have a Panasonic phone system then consider these. They are the only wireless phone systems I'll buy anymore. They just work.

Good, Except the Number of Rings and the Voicemail

    By

    from Undisclosed

    Pros

    • Convenient
    • Durable
    • Easy to use

    Cons

    • Did not meet expectations
    • Poor quality
    • too many rings in spite of settings

    Best Uses

This phone was good. It had a good volume and I liked how it had 5 handsets, which we really utilized. We had two problems. The first problem was the ring count. Even though we set the ring number to "2 Rings," the ring count gradually increased until it was ringing about 8 times and was really annoying. The second problem was the ability to call our home number. When we tried to call our home number, the phone we were calling with said, "We're sorry, but the person you are calling has a voice mailbox that has not been set up yet...Goodbye." So we are in great doubt as to the capability of the phone to receive (and store) voicemail messages. For all we know, many people could have called us and left a message, and we would not even know. These problems are getting really annoying.

Gave up my landline because I was just paying to have solicitors call on it. Bought this on recommendation of a friend. It was easy to set up and import all my contacts from my cell. I like not having to have my cell hooked to my hip all the time and being able to answer from anywhere in my house.

Long had Panasonic phones and loved them until I ran across this bast..d phone. Wanted it because it had clal blocking and Bluetooth. But instead of sticking with its very satisfactory operating system, Panasonic chose to really complicate matters requiring users to enter numbers to do operations which users could do by just punching keys on the older phones. And there are more than 100 numbers for different operations. Does Panasonic expect users to have perfect memories to remember all those numbers? Worse yet, the instructions that come with the phones are microscopic and require a magnifying glass to read. Only wy to read them is download the Manual in PDF. Thanks Panasonic but no thanks. Won't waste my money on a Panasonic again. Took this phone back to the seller.

We have purchased Panasonic cordless phones in the past and were always satisfied. Our oldest model needed an update so I purchased this model as a Christmas gift. So far we have been very happy with it. Our only complaint is the pronunciation of names when a call comes in: I understand that it is phonetically based, but it would be a nice feature to record your own pronunciation for frequent callers.

I've had the phones for a couple of weeks and I've had no issues and am happy with the product. I have not use the Bluetooth to sync my cell phone yet. The sound quality and speaker phone volume is very good. I work from home one day a week and most of it is spent on conference calls. I do notice that they charge slowly so I may have to use multiple handsets during a full day. I know some reviews did not like having to enter codes to perform setup tasks. It does require you to keep the manual close (or remember where you put it), but the instructions are easy to follow. I do not use many advanced functions so I figure it is a 'Set it and leave it' task. I marked a Pro as inexpensive. I selected that because you get 5 handsets and a base unit/answering machine.

I've had this phone for a couple weeks now. Nothing to really complain about. Although the build quality seems to have diminished somewhat from my previous Panasonic phone. Also, I don't know why they did away with the flashing light on each handset when there's a new voicemail. I guess the other issue that bugs me is that the rechargeable batteries are only rated at 400mah. The previous phone from 6 years ago at least included 600mah batteries. Why in the world did they go backwards on the batteries. How much could they really he saving on costs, seriously?
