Key Features:

  • Instant creativity with built-in creative effects
  • Capture stills or HD video in and out of the water
  • Travel confidently with go anywhere shock and waterproof toughness

Features:

Instant Creativity With Built-In Creative Effects: Creative Control / Creative Retouch
Panasonic is ready to take the ordinary and make it extraordinary by fueling your creativity with the Creative Control feature (in the recording mode) and the Creative Retouch feature (in the playback mode). These features take simple or complicated scenes and make them easy to capture in a great photo. Simply set the camera to match your scene and it uses sophisticated presets to optimize the camera settings resulting in photos you'll be proud of.

Creative Panorama
Panasonic has developed the industry's first Creative Panorama functions. Discover 12 filter effects that will take your panorama images to the next level with creative and dramatic results.

Advanced Underwater Mode
The Red Color Reproduction of Advanced Underwater Mode compensates for the color red that is easily lost in underwater photography. This creates underwater pictures that look more natural. Other modes that deliver incredible results are Sports, Snow, and Beach & Snorkeling. They can all be selected from the menu quickly and easily.

iA (Intelligent Auto) Mode
In the iA (Intelligent Auto) Mode, the camera does all the work, leaving you free to compose your shot and capture the moment. Simply aim, press, and shoot. The detection and correction functions go to work to give you beautiful photos and videos.
* The applicable iA Mode functions vary with photos and videos.

Time Lapse Shot
Have you ever wanted to capture a flower blooming, or clouds floating across the sky? The Time Lapse Shot feature on the DMC-TS25 gives you the creative control to set the start time, interval for taking the images, and the number of pictures to shoot. Once that is set, the camera will automatically record the images without you.

Capture Stills or HD Video In and Out of the Water 25mm Ultra Wide-Angle Lens
The DMC-TS25 features a 25mm wide-angle lens* with 4x optical zoom (35mm equivalent: 25-100mm). The 25mm ultra wide-angle lens has about twice the shooting area as a standard 35mm lens. This enhances most shooting situations, like photographing a group of people at an indoor party or shooting a large structure or sweeping landscape while traveling.
* Converted to standard 35mm camera equivalent, at the wide-end.

8x Intelligent Zoom
If the 4x optical zoom is not long enough for your photographic journey, the Intelligent Zoom uses digital zoom technology with minimum deterioration of image quality thanks to the Intelligent Resolution technology. The 4x optical zoom virtually extends to an 8x zoom equivalent.

Motion Picture Button
Video recording can be easily started with the press of the Motion Picture Button making it convenient for switching between photo and video shooting instantly.

MP4 HD Recording
If you want to edit your videos on a computer or upload them to a website, the DMC-TS25 can record HD motion images (1,280 x 720 pixels) in MP4 format.

MEGA O.I.S. with Active Mode
The Active Mode effectively suppresses blur in video recordings especially at wide-angle settings while walking or playing with children or moving subjects.

MEGA O.I.S.
The MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) suppresses vibration and hand-shake that happens when you press the shutter button or when shooting at night with a slow shutter speed. Even slight hand-shake movement is accurately detected by a sampling frequency of 4,000 times per second, and compensated for to produce sharp, clear images.

Torch Light
The DMC-TS25 features a torch light that helps records beautiful videos even in dusky underwater environments or at a nighttime camp. You can even turn on the light to illuminate a subject when the camera function is not activated.

2.7-Inch Intelligent LCD
The DMC-TS25's 2.7-inch LCD is a 230K-dot Intelligent LCD. LUMIX's acclaimed Intelligent LCD technology automatically adjusts the brightness in 11 step increments according to your shooting conditions. In addition, the AR (anti-reflective) coating LCD minimizes glare and provides clear images for high visibility even in brightness outdoors.

Travel Confidently With Go Anywhere Shock and Waterproof ToughnessA Casual Stylish Rugged Design
Featuring a flat, slim profile made possible by using folded optics for the 4x optical zoom* lens unit, the DMC-TS25 is incredibly tough. The TS25 delivers breathtaking color and detail in photos and videos. Enjoy easy, casual shooting with style both in town and during your outdoor adventures. The DMC-TS25 is optimal for both.
* 35mm camera equivalent: 25-100mm

Travel With Confidence
The durable TS25 is waterproof, shockproof, dustproof and freezeproof empowering you to take this camera on all of your photographic journeys. From fishing or camping in the springtime, diving, snorkeling, surfing in the summer, mountain climbing in autumn, or skiing and snowboarding in winter, the DMC-TS25 is an all-year-round camera that records stunning memories in beautiful photos and videos.

Waterproof
With waterproof performance to a depth of 23ft, equivalent to the "IPX8" standard, the DMC-TS25 delivers active shooting on the beach, underwater or in a pool. If the camera gets dirty, soil and dust can be easily washed off with water.

Shockproof
The DMC-TS25 is shockproof from a height of 5ft in accordance with the "MIL-STD 810F Method 516.5-Shock" test standard. Shoot actively while moving around with the camera in one hand worry-free.

Dustproof
The DMC-TS25 is dustproof, equivalent to the "IP6X" standard. While hiking or playing sports, fine dust particles can enter cameras through gaps in the camera body and cause malfunctions. No worries with the DMC-TS25, it can be used in these activities and more without any problems.

Freezeproof
Looking to shoot in the cold? The DMC-TS25 is freezeproof to 14 degrees Fahrenheit so get out and shoot your favorite winter activities like skiing, snowboarding or skating.

This is a sweet little camera, especially if you travel or spend a lot of time outdoors. Compact and lightweight, the Lumix TS25 is the great for a trip or vacation. About the size of a credit card and as thick as my small finger, I had no issue keeping it in my pocket for easy access whenever I needed to snap a quick picture. The build quality of the Lumix TS25 is absolutely exceptional. I never once felt I had to worry about breaking or damaging this camera. It's a solid piece of tech, and that makes it great for photos at the beach or on a hiking trail. Because the Lumix TS25 is 100% waterproof, I could even take pictures in the heaviest rain or underwater without second thought. My confidence in the resilience of the Lumix TS25 was put to the test when I let my friend's 18-month-old son "hold it for me" to keep him placated during a panel at the Philly Comic-Con. Needless to say, I was very impressed. I found the Lumix TS25 performed best at moderately close distances (5 to 15-ft) in very bright environments, again making it ideal as a go-to camera for individuals who spend more time outside than anywhere else. My biggest issue would have to be the built-in LCD screen's resolution, which didn't do my photos justice. While I was concerned at first, rest assured that the pictures came out much better than the built-in screen implied. If you lead an active lifestyle and are looking for a durable, compact means of capturing your memories, try the Lumix TS25. While the photo quality isn't the best I've seen, it's an affordable alternative to an expensive smartphone, tablet, or standard point-and-shoot digital camera that wouldn't last two seconds if dropped in a puddle, let alone several feet of water.

I would return this right now if I had time. There is an annoying precaution about using the camera underwater that pops up and must be dismissed every time I turn the camera on (not just when I've opened it). The troubleshooting guide says to press menu/set to make it go away when it comes up every time. Not so much. Doesn't fix the problem. So basically, each time I go to take a picture, I have to push two buttons first in order to get rid of this warning, which is beyond inconvenient and annoying. Clearly this is an issue with the camera since it's included in the troubleshooting guide . . . but the suggestion to fix it doesn't work.

Very bad underwater camera

By

from Iowa

Pros

  • Compact

Cons

  • Did not meet expectations
  • Poor quality

Best Uses

I used the camera many, many times before taking it underwater and LOVED the picture quality. No regrets purchasing this camera until I took it underwater for the FIRST time. Yes, the door was closed, there was absolutely NO water leakage, it was completely dry. But somehow water leaked into the camera and I have not had good quality pictures since then, all fuzzy. This camera was underwater for a very short period of time and was only underwater about 2 feet deep. DO NOT purchase this camera if you want something that goes in the water because somehow, water will get in no matter what!

All of this is because of a employee who though they couldnt do it, BUT THEY DID. So i went to Cuba recenty, and we did do alot of tourist things. So i can tell you from an average person that this is an amazing camera. Learning to use it a first is a big deal, but it's the same with any camera. This is my first review on a product so just listen to me please and take note of what I'm saying. This camera saved the photographic memories of my first vacation outside of Canada. Let me give you a break down of what happened and take it upon yourself to decide. So my Bro his girlfriend and iu went to Cuba and decided to take and expadition that involed a rocky coastline, a small city, a farm, a ranch (I know pretty much the same), and Cave Diving. So let me tell you for me it takes amazing pictures and It's Auto Intelligent is pretty amazing. But what i want to talk about is the Water Proof Technology. So during our tourist adventures we all went cave diving (you can probably guess what happened) the water was crystal clear and their were only 3 other people in the water at the time. We decided to explore that cave and we were doing pretty good until the transfer of camera between two people. Not 5 seconds later i realized i drop the camera, when i did realize though i dived with no goggles or anyrthing and saw it's hazy glow getting deeper and deeper, I could not persue it any more. (by the way I aint no physical specimen or anything, the last sport i did was coach soccer and win the championship for and U14 boys club in 2013) My bro and i tried to get it while the light was still on but we had no success. OH LET ME TELL YOU THIS WAS 22M DEEP OR ABOUT 72FT. More than what i could stand by the the manual. I thought all was lost, that camera lights whent out and just blackness under a ridge. I learned two this that day take that back actually six things. Number One: Get A flotaion Devivce for this Camera Number Two: I Can free dive nearly 73 FT (that is amazing for me, Im so proud) Number Three: I Will Risk My Life For A Camera Number Four: Respect people no matter who they are Nuimber Five: Memories Are more important than a picture Number Six: Live Life Till You Have Given It Al It Has To Offer

I have carried and used it while camping in the Adirandacks in the winter, cruies and snorkelling in the caribbean, and numerous weekend hiking and camping outings throughout the year. Very pleased with the camera!

This little camera was wonderful on vacation! Great picture quality, even underwater! We took lots of pics in the pool and they turned out great. Nice and small, easy to slip into a pocket.
