The heart of the Pioneer VSX-1123 is a 7.2 channel Discrete Direct Energy amplifier, putting out 90 watts per channel @ 8 ohms. You'll have no shortage of power, giving you loud, clear sound reproduction with minimal distortion. A full array of decoding formats, including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Pro-Logic IIz and DTS Neo:X, ensure that what you hear remains 100% true to the source. And with a suite of calibration tools designed to optimize your particular speaker setup, including Pioneer's automated Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration system (MCACC), you'll know you're always getting the best sound possible.
Copious Connectivity For Home Theater and Digital Devices
We're consuming more entertainment than ever before, from a diverse range of sources, and the Pioneer VSX-1123 takes advantage of this by offering a multitude of connection options, both wired and wireless. The front of this Pioneer receiver sports an MHL-compatible HDMI input, letting you stream media, including 1080p video, from MHL-enabled Android devices. Next to that you'll find a USB port featuring Made for iPhone® certification, allowing you to play music from all of the latest iOS devices, as well as a standard flash drive.
Around back, you'll find enough inputs and outputs for the most expansive home theater component systems, including seven HDMI inputs to pass through signals from all of your video sources. The Pioneer VSX can not only pass through 3D and 4K Ultra HD video signals, it also features 4K UHDTV upscaling, which means it will keep pace with advancing video formats for years to come.
A pair of HDMI outs gives you true multi-zone capability. Listen to two completely different sources in two locations throughout your house, all through the VSX-1123 receiver. If you find you'd like even more power for stereo listening, pre-amp outputs for the front and subwoofer channels let you route to an external amplifier.
Expanded, Network-Enabled Entertainment Options
If you've cut most of the cords in your digital media life, the Pioneer VSX-1123 has couple tricks up its sleeve that you'll love. Because it's network-connected, you'll have a variety of streaming options. Apple Airplay compatibility lets you stream music from an iOS device or computer running iTunes, while HTC Connect offers similar functionality for HTC smartphone users. Other device users aren't left out, thanks to the Pioneer iControlAV2013 app. Available for both iOS and Android users, the app lets you push stored files or streaming music to the receiver, in addition to giving you full remote control abilities. To round out the Pioneer VSX-1123's network-enabled features, built in Pandora and vTuner internet radio staions give you access to a virtually endless supply of music.
