I have had these washers for three months now. I had the traditional top load washer and front load dryer. I was nervous to buy these front loaders with concerns of "funky smells" in the washers. They are quiet, have a large capacity and clean my clothes so well. I am doing half the amount of loads, which is great since we are a family of 5! Bedding is easy as well. I have also been able to wash and dry the 5x8 rugs in my kid's playroom without having to drag them to the laundromat. Extra bonus...It is made in America.

Why does Maytag think more complicated is better? I know how to, and have been doing laundry for 50 years. I have had my new Maytag a few months and yet I still need the manual (and a pair of glasses to read the controls) to figure out how to try to make this machine do what I need, depending on what I am washing. If I were washing "swimwear" and "athletic uniforms", I would be in luck (page 8). Very often, I end up with some kind of compromise that is not completely satisfactory. There is no complete cycle guide in the manual, stating for example, the length of the cycle. Consequently, I ended up with a load one time that went on for over 2 hours! On my old Maytag, adjustments for the load size, soil level, and temperature were so easy. It is also taking much longer overall to get all my weekly laundry done.

Best washer I've ever had!
from Willcox, AZ, United States
Bought this washer almost 3 months ago. Love everything about it! It's quiet, fast, has great features and holds so much!

I've had this washer less than a year and it has lots of choices and washes everything without a problem. The only con is that the front touch areas are sensitive and many times have inadvertently changed a setting as I fold clothes on top of the machine.

We bought this a month ago and love it! We replaced an old Whirlpool Duet. This machine cleans clothes well and spins them dry. I am happy with it - just wish it had a quick wash cycle
no vibration, very quiet

Bought unit in late December when 10 year old HE front loader broke badly. Vibration and noise of new unit are very low.We can now run on highest spin speed with no vibration and very little sound. This in return has cut down on dryer run time.
Handsome Quiet Workhorse !!!

Still going on our 1st impressions of this machine. It was the deciding factor in going with front-loading, to replace a KENMORE conventional agitator unit.Does not have a Pre-Wash option. Other than maybe wanting that (for mud or whatever) this thing seems to have something for everybody.

Love how quiet this washer is! Love the steam setting and the overnight wash and dry. The fan inside is genius for keeping my washer from smelling. Oh and one last thing, the buzzer is no longer annoying. ...it's a cute little song.

Some issues but overall it's pretty good

I do like the large size of this machine. It is also pretty quiet which is nice for our small house. It does a good job of cleaning but lately I've noticed a small puddle of water on the floor just in front of the machine. I'm not sure why this is happening, but it might be plugged somewhere. As my floors are concrete it doesn't hurt anything. I will have to investigate further to see what the problem is.
3 months and doing well.

Amazingly quiet, cleans everything and doesn't use much water.
