Lower Oven Features:
- True Convection™ Oven with T.H.E.™, Third Hidden Element utilizes both a rear element and a rear fan to circulate preheated air around the oven cavity for faster and more even cooking results than conventional cooking.
- Easy Convect™ Conversion System: Great convection results can be achieved with the KitchenAid® Easy Convect™ Conversion feature. All you need to do is select from three categories of foods (Baked Goods, Meats, Other Foods) and enter the normal cooking time and temperature for that selection. The Easy Convect™ feature automatically converts the standard recipes to convection times and temperatures.
- Convection Bake and Roast Selections
- CleanBake™ Hidden Element goes beneath the surface. Because the baking element is not exposed, the CleanBake™ element provides more evenly balanced heat distribution by warming both the bottom and the sides of the oven cavity. This means better baking performance. And, because the element is 'hidden' from view by the porcelain oven cavity, cleanup is easy and the bake element is protected from spills and drips that fall to the bottom of the oven.
- Variable Time Self-Cleaning System
- Two Halogen Oven Lights and Large Oven Window
- Closed-Door Convection Broiling
- Maxi And Econo Thermal Broiler Settings: Maxi Econo broiling settings lets the customer choose broiling needs. Two broiling elements make up the feature. The inner (econo) element can be used for smaller portions being broiled, whole the inner and outer (maxi) feature is used when broiling an entire pan of food. Both are adjustable temperatures.
- Bread Proofing and Dehydration Functions: Do you enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the year? A bonus feature of convection ovens is the ability to dehydrate fruits, herbs, and vegetables for storage. By using the convection fan with no heat or low heat (temperatures as low as 140 - 150 degrees F), you'll get consistently even results.
- Temperature Probe: With a KitchenAid® Thermal Convection™ Oven, it's easy to get perfect roasts every time. Set the internal oven or food temperature based on your recipe or preference and insert the electronic temperature probe in the roast. The probe will signal the oven to turn off automatically once the desired temperature is reached.
- Sabbath Mode Feature: The Sabbath Mode allows tones, lights and error messages to be over-ridden. The oven will not automatically shut off after 12 hours and a set temperature can be maintained for extended periods of time. Only the "start" and "0-9" key pads will operate.
