Have had this fridge for three months and I'm very pleased with the unit. The features are great with the slide out shelves and the temperature control is outstanding. The only minor issue is with the ice dispenser. The "funnel" is just a bit too large for all of the glasses I own. The ice comes out too wide and almost always spills... Other than this annoyance, the fridge is awesome.

This fancy refrigerator was an option with a new home. We took it. It has functioned a little over 2 years. It is now not working. We called GE service tonight. A refrigerator should last longer than a light bulb. There should be no problems in 2 years. When it did work, it takes forever to produce ice, and does not have much capacity.

Comments about GE Cafe Counter Depth Stainless Side-By-Side Refrigerator:
I had this installed today. The internal organization is great. The temperature controls are up front and easy to manage. The containers are "see-through" so I know where everything is! Wonderful organizer.

Love my new GE Monogram! I wanted a counter depth refrigerator so the GE Monogram with stainless steel on both sides was the perfect choice! It looks good for every angle!

We've had it a month and love the look of it and how much storage we have. Ice maker works great - no ice clumps to break up. Love it!

I moved to a house built in 2005 and it has all GE profile line for all the kitchen appliances. They look great, but this refrigerator has nothing more than trouble. I had called the tech 5 times in 1 year. The previous owner also has 3 notes of part replacement. After throwing lots of food in the garbage, I am switching to new brand. I would not recommend this freezer.

I have owned this product for five years, and am having the same rust and ice maker complaints as below. My previous GE fridge lasted 12 years before I sold it with no issues. Very disappointed and do not plan to stick with GE after this.

Too many problems in short period of time

Fridge came installed in new house in May 2011. Stopped cooling in August 2014, replaced thermistor. Stopped cooling again in April 2015, replaced compressor. Cooled to 2 degrees and 39 degrees, then stopped cooling two days later. Tech is coming again tomorrow, but I want it replaced.

This is a DONT BUY!!!

Unfortunately, this fridge is only 6 years old and was an appliance which was installed by the developer in our retirement community. When we bought our home, the refrigerator was included by the previous owner. We were told by the realtor that the icemaker doesn't work. This is a noisy machine even without an icemaker. We disconnected the water hose as we now make ice cubes in trays. The water taste is moldy from the water dispenser. Further the capacity of the interior freezer is rediculous and the shelves slip. The fresh food side there is very little room for much of anything. A small watermelon (personal size) eats up half a shelf--are you kidding me? This is being replaced by a stainless steel top freezer refrigerator 23.8-cu.ft. with a single icemaker. The company that has this refrigerator has a better track record and quality over yours.
