First it's an iron and well ironing isn't really that much fun but we all gotta do it right? Having said that I never want to touch another iron again. I can tell this is a product I am going to use for years. Build Quality - Top notch. A bit on the heavy side but I find that helpful in that I iron a bit slower and don't skip over spots. The anti-dripping is a nice feature as well, I don't miss those days from my previous irons. The soleplate shape on this iron is very helpful as well with the length and shape. Removing wrinkles - Magic. I don't have to go over any area more than once really and my shirts have came out great in much faster time. Steaming - I'm not sure I would put this on the level of a professional steamer but I was impressed with the amount of steam that came out from this iron. This feature took me a little bit to get the hang out but when I did it ended up working out very well. Reach - The cord is long enough to make it very easy to move the iron where you want. As I said before the gliding on this iron is nice, so no issues here. Last Thoughts - It's not a cheap iron but I strongly believe you won't ever need another one. Adding to that your clothes come out top notch every time... sometimes it's worth the investment and this is one of those times.

Comments about Panasonic 360 Quick Multi-Directional Steam/Dry Iron Alumite Soleplate:
Nice iron with every option you can possibly add to an iron plus plenty of steam....only down side is the added weight due to the larger surface area it covers.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

360degrees Quickâ„¢ Multi-Directional Steam/Dry Iron with
from Edmond OK
I love this iron and wish I would have purchased it a long time ago. I use a lot of steam and not much starch. This iron has all the steam you need. I seem to iron a lot faster with it. Saves me time while doing a fantastic job. The only draw back for me was I have a built in ironing board in my wall. It is taller than the space allows for an iron to be stored inside the ironing board unit. I just have to store it in a cabinet.

Previous model was NI-W810CS which was smaller but has better operating features than the W950A. Steaming works much better on the W810CS by operating more consistent while ironing.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I love the design of the iron. Having the "football" shape makes it a lot easier to iron clothes. No more having to turn the iron around.
One of my best purchase

I was reluctant to order this Panasonic iron, but after the first use I was very impressed how good it is. It is like a press from a dry cleaners. Now I feel more comfortable to iron my pants and shirts and get great result all the time
Panasonic Steam Iron NI-W950A
from Lincoln, NE
It works much better than any previous ones. Pros: Lots of steam (but selectable) Long cord Oval shape (didn't think I would like that) Heats up fairly quick large water reservoir Probably takes 1/2 the time to iron compared to my last iron Cons: It is big
I didn't know what I was missing!
This is the first iron I have purchased since college (25 years ago). I still use that iron today. However, I saw this one and said thought I would go for it. What a difference. Its like going from my Ford Pinto in college to my BMW X5! This thing rocks! Awesome steam, light weight, and fantastic non-stick surface. The the dark color of the water tank was a bad call on the part of the designer but that is the only bad thing about this iron. Its build like a tank too. Therefore, I may never need to buy another one! Note that I have only used it once but I am actually looking forward to firing it up again! Enjoy!
