This washer operates differently than my previous top-loaders. It doesn't use much water or soap, so it makes me think it's not working right, but the clothes come out nice, fresh, and clean. The absolute best part is that my 2 and 3 year-old grandkids LOVE pulling up chairs and watching through the glass top the laundry churning and going round and round. They enjoy the "music" and lights that the power and selection buttons make. Best money I ever spent!!

After one month of ownership, I'm so fed up and disappointed with this machine! I did lots of research and thought it was going to be an amazing machine to replace our fabulous 29 year-old Maytag that finally died. Initially, it seemed to work okay with light-colored clothing, but when it came to navy work pants and other dark clothes, it is a total loser! I washed them 2 times and used extra rinse cycles, but they still came out covered with loose dirt that was redeposited all over them during the spin cycle. I had to brush the dirt off and wipe the pants down with a clean damp towel to remove the deposits. The towel was filthy afterwards! How can they say that this machine is good? I even cleaned the machine with bleach as recommended for each month, but that made no difference in the performance. There just simply isn't enough water going into each wash to carry away the dirt. And there's no filter for the dirt either. Also, the spin cycle may remove most all the water, but the clothes are all wrinkled afterwards! I have to set the spin cycle to low just to keep the wrinkles down and then I have to fluff the clothes in a hot dryer for 5 minutes before hanging them or else I'd have to iron everything. (Yes, we prefer to hang our laundry to save on energy). I want my money back and a regular old fashioned washer again that actually cleans the clothes!

Been using it since thearly past 2 years and love it!
Doesn't wash well
Doesn't add enough water. I always have to run the extra rinse cycle. Clothes don't come clean either. I love the super large capacity. If I could return it, I would. It seems no store will accept the return of a large appliances with this complaint.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Amazing !!!! Packed with more features then you can use.
Amazing machine. No problems whatsoever, and very quiet and Efficient. Clothes look great especially with amazing built features such as low spin cycle and temperature controls just to name a few. Also has sanitizing wash for very dirty laundry overall very happy
excellant washing capabilities
Bought this July 4th. Compacity is just right for our needs. I do like the sanitize feature.

Although it take a little longer it does save water and does a better job than the old full agitator washer we had. When the washer was moved from one spot to another it developed a problem with the spin cycle, which was corrected by a restart. Hopefully this will help a few people, it took me the better part of a day to figure that one out. I even called Maytag, and did not get the answer. It was a last resort before calling for a repair. I said to myself, this is computer run like my cell phone I will try a restart, and the prob was fixed.
Would not recommend at all

Not at all reliable. Broken after 18 months and needs a $400 repair. Dryer was also repaired twice, but at least that was within the warranty. Maytag's response to a repeat customer with 25 years of owning Maytag products? "You should have bought an extended warranty"

Load will not stay balanced
from Farmington, NM
I purchased the Bravo XL 2 years ago. I wanted appliances that were made in the USA. I picked this unit for what I thought would be he ease of washing large loads like sheets or blankets. What a mistake. The washer will not stay balanced. I spend so much time rearranging the load between cycles.
Don't buy this washer without the extended warranty
from Bedford, TX
DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER!!! And if you do, make sure you get the extended warranty. I've had mine for less than two years and I've already had to have the complete insides changed twice. I've done everything that the instructions have told me and it still broke. I then tried to call and ask for an extended warranty(since it is apparently going to keep breaking) and they told me that I could not purchase one because of the problems that are already on file. This is the last Maytag I'll ever buy.
So far so good.
