We've had our washer for about 4 months and it's been great! It's quiet, spins things hard and overall does a good job getting things clean. I have two small things to point out that might be helpful to someone...first, it is very deep. My kids can't help put stuff in the dryer because they can't reach in that deep...I feel like I'm crawling in to get that last sock sometimes. And often, things get really twisted and tangled, which in turn makes a lot of wrinkles if you weren't going to put those items in the dryer. But overall, we're happy happy happy :)

I have owned several Whirlpool products in the past and never had an issue until now. This product is simply poorly designed and a poor performer. I have read and followed the instruction manual to no avail. I have a large family and the washer has been used many times over the last six months and my wife agrees - it simply doesn't work. The clothes will not rotate (we used to call it agitate) in the drum, and those on top tend to stay on top. Pants and sheets usually become twisted and knotted together. There is simply no way sheets can be clean if they are come out like a wad of Twizzlers tied in knots. Stay away from the top loaders. We will be going back to a front loading machine as soon as possible.

Terrible machine do not waste your money

We've had this machine for 3 yrs (earlier model) without the glass top, but it has been services 3 times and already had to have a bearing replaced. Of you're looking for a durable machine, keep looking. It started failing after the first year and half, we purchased an extended warranty and good thing! I'm so disappointed in hopes to have the machine for a while but will have to replace soon. Wouldn't think of this from Whirlpool.
Large capacity washer

I can't believe the capacity of this washer. It is quiet and easy to use. It is quieter than my previous washer (a front load). It is easy to use and see where it is in the cycle. It handles my husband's overalls easily.
Everything that I heard about this type of washer was true
Unfortunately, I bought this washer on the recommendation of the salesman and because I could not fit the new front loaders in the space where my previous front loader lived. I needed something without a traditional agitator because I have to wash sleeping bags on a regular basis (we camp) and the agitator causes damage. But this machine beats my clothing to death (tons more lint in the dryer than with my front load washer!) and wrinkles everything mercilessly. I had heard this was a problem but was assured that if I just follow the directions, I would be happy and not have the reported experiences. Not so. The only good thing is that I can still wash just as much clothing, the load only goes off balance sometimes, and most of the laundry comes out clean. The look of the washer is nice; I just wish the lid didn't have to remain open all the time to prevent mildew.

I love my new top load Whirlpool washer! I previously had an HE front load washer and didn't want another front load washer because of mold/smell issues (after only a few years of use!!). BUT, I was used to doing giant loads of laundry (including king size sheet sets and blankets, and queen size comforters). My old front load, despite the issues we had, still got our laundry super clean and was very gentle on fabrics. I didn't know if a top load would be able to meet my super high expectations. But it has met them all AND MORE!! I do huge loads, they get super clean, and in LESS AMOUNT OF TIME! Further, the washer has a clean cycle that fills above the wash line to get the washer itself squeaky clean. A few reviews I read before purchase had me worried about these things, but if you FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE, everything comes out perfectly! In other words, load the washer properly, use the right kind/amount of soap, and use the proper dispensers. Another plus...it is much smaller than my old machine. While that doesn't make much of a difference in my basement laundry room, it also means that the washer weighs MUCH LESS, than my old front load. I can move it around to clean or reach behind with ease. I'm super, super happy with this gem of a washer, and my sister has also just recently purchased this same model.
My Second Whirlpool Cabrio
I loved my first Cabrio so when it broke down, there was no other option than another Whirlpool Cabrio. I love the fact that I can wash and dry a load of clothes in less than an hour because of the high speed spin. The only negative I have is that on this new model, you have to choose to have the fabric softener dispense in the rinse cycle.
What a disappointment!

You may save on water but it takes almost twice as long to wash a load of laundry. Even without an agitator the laundry becomes intwined which causes wrinkles. I only use the recommended detergent but I still end up with white marks (dried up detergent?) on dark clothes. They recommend using the second rinse cycle but who wants to have one load of laundry taking more than an hour? If I hadn't spent so much money on this washer, I would replace it!

This washing machine is amazing! I can wash so many clothes or towels in a single load. The settings on it are very self explanatory. Very easy to operate and it's super quiet. The washer has a very nice look to it too. I would defiantly recommend this washer to anyone, especially if you have children.

Love our new washing machine. The spin cycle is great - clothes come out clean & almost dry!
