We've had our range installed and have been using it daily for just over a week. So I'll start my review by letting you know that it is still rather new to us. I narrowed down my choices to this range because it had all of the features I wanted in the price point. The top of my list, just after 5 burners and large oven capacity was self-cleaning. I was disappointed to learn that nearly ALL of the competitors that offer the "self-cleaning" features have moved away from the pyrolytic method of self-cleaning to a "steam" cleaning/low temperature method (translation: the residue doesn't burn off - you still have to scrub afterward based on reading dozens upon dozens of reviews by unhappy owners of those ranges). Less important was having convection - but this range had it also! It does seem to shorten overall cooking time when it's used. I'm pleased that I can choose to use it or just bake/roast without the convection fan running. (With all of the places we need to be after dinner, anything that can shorten our prep-time is worth trying. Moving from electric to gas I can say everything is taking much less time to prepare than before on top of the range and in the oven.) We were converting from electric to propane, so not only is this range new to me but having a gas range is new to me as well. The most serious downside I've found, and I don't find it very serious at all, is that the vent at the top of the range does throw out a good deal of heat when the oven is running. It was mentioned as a negative in a lot of reviews I read but it was the only drawback I read about that I took seriously. Yes, you will want to keep your hand away from the vent especially when you exceed 375 degrees with this oven and consider what you have atop the stove during operating the oven. But seeing as its a range, you should be exercising this kind of precaution anyway. One think you might want to consider given the above is shopping just as carefully for whatever you have above your range, be it a microwave oven or a vent to make sure it will move air quickly enough to usher heat and steam up and out. (We also looked to Samsung for a microwave and found one with a 4 speed exhaust fan. My top consideration in a microwave was how it would function as a hood with exhaust and light. I will review that separately.) The burner configuration and size options are great. I did not buy this range for the griddle but I have to say I've found a use for it at just about every meal, whether it is to toast buns, fry eggs with no added fat, sear tuna steaks, or toast herbs or nuts, I'm finding that it's a convenience that I'll soon not want to live without. The non-stick works beautifully and it cleans easily. (Please educate yourself on how to care for non-stick surfaces for happy results! I've banned cooking sprays...) The controls are convenient and easy to figure out. The range looks great overall. Oh! And one of the best parts - the capacity! I can fit four of my sheet pans (10 x 151/2 x 1) in this oven or four standard muffin pans. I've never before had an oven that allowed them to fit side-by-side on one rack. This one is going to make holiday baking a breeze. (The storage compartment is rather small, but I'll give up some space there for this happy surprise.) Some reviewers complain of a smell that persists after the initial burn off of factory residue. I am not experiencing that problem at all. (It took only about 2 hours of use to not notice the initial odor any longer.) Lastly, there is a control lock option and an alarm will sound when the door is opened. We liked this feature because we have small children. While it won't prevent them from opening you'll get some warning that they're messing with the oven, which is better than most. All-in-all I'm very happy with this purchase and though I haven't used the pyrolytic self-cleaning feature yet, I don't anticipate any problems. (I hope I can update this review once I've used all of the features including bread proofing and self-cleaning.)

This dishwasher is very quite, at least most of the time and my kids like the little ding-dong songs it plays when you press the buttons. I guess it looks fine. The adjustable top rack adjusts well enough between the two positions. The inside (where no one looks) seems to stay shiny. I guess that's nice too. That completes the positive part of the review. For the remainder, I'll try to go in order of greatest annoyance to least. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Samsung until now. I've had quite a few of their products and have been very happy with them overall, but this has soured that relationship quite significantly. This dishwasher has absolutely terrible cleaning performance. I have used several name-brand, high quality detergents, tried stacking dishes differently, pre-rinsed everything, even pre-washing anything that looked even slightly messy and checked the little nozzles in the arms but it makes no difference. This dishwasher doesn't clean dishes well. It didn't the first day and it hasn't any day since. Since this is task number one for a dishwasher (washing dishes, that is), this is a really big fail right there. I included a picture of some bowls in my last load. I load them now skipping tines so they're not "stacked" AT ALL, the bottom of the first bowl and the top of the second are an inch apart, LOTS of space between them, yet look what's left. And please note that food residue is soft and rinsed off. It is quiet but only when I the drain pump isn't running. For some unfathomable reason when you turn it on and close the door, the first thing it does is noisily try to drain the dishwasher for about 4 or 5 seconds. At a couple of other points throughout the cycles it'll do the same thing for anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds. Otherwise it's reasonably quiet. This dishwasher uses rinse aid at least 4 or 5 times as fast as our old one. And since it doesn't really get the dishes very clean, "costs 5x as much in rinse aid" isn't really a useful "feature" to have. All of the prongs that hold dishes are too close together and are too vertical. I know Samsung would like you to believe that you can put 12 place settings in it, but you can't because they'll never come clean. All your dishes will fall over anyway because the tines are terribly spaced and angled, but I don't think I need to belabor that point because it's my own fault for not having brought enough of my dishes to the store to test with. Anyway, if you put just a single well-rinsed glass, plate and fork in it you'll have a better than 50% chance they'll all come out clean. Anything more and I'll guarantee at least one item (probably 4 or 5) will need to have food remnants chipped out of it and rewashed by hand. Sometimes with all the pre-rinsing I've had to learn to do I think that this dishwasher *adds* food to the load. I can't think of any other reason so much food detritus would be left otherwise. There's no way to turn off the heated dry setting, which basically is just a "bake on all the food particles I left on your dishes so you have to chip them off."

Love to cook

I really enjoy the self cleaning stove, and the griddle plate it comes with great for sauteeing onions, peppers and mushrooms
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Worst dishwasher ever
From the first week this dishwasher was installed, it hasn't worked. After 2 or 3 washes, it started giving an OE code on the display, and the cycle would stop. We would turn it off, then back on, and it would complete. Over time, it has gotten worse and worse. Now it will only work on about 1 in 20 tries. I've officially had it with this dishwasher. We are in the process of selling the house, and I'm not going to allow this dishwasher to go with it. I couldn't do that to someone else.
I love my new gas range and it is self cleaning
I got my ranged installed on yesterday and the first thing I used was my oven..cooked very evenly my stuffed mushrooms!
The unit is extremely quiet, something I strongly considered in my selection. The one feature I would like to see is for the "Clean" light to remain on until the door is opened or a button pushed to acknowledge that the dishes are clean. There is a light that indicates dishes are clean, but it goes off after 10 minutes. We especially like that the silverware rack organizes the utensils and is easy to remove. There are not a lot of confusing settings for washing. Our previous dishwasher had several settings that we never used.

great features only 2 things I don't like
I love that this oven has 5 burners, the oven door can be locked, and the griddle comes with it. The only things I don't like is that theres no cover or way to lock the dials for the gas burners and the griddle is too large to keep on the range while cooking on the top.
Great look and efficient
A big improvement from our last range. It cooked really fast even in the low setting!
Awesome Gas Range
from Austin, TX, USA
We finally decided to upgrade our gas range and we couldn't be happier! The burners put out a lot more heat and cook evenly. I roasted potatoes in the oven with the convection setting and they roasted quickly and perfectly. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! My favorite is the large non-stick surface area of the griddle. There's plenty of room and you don't have to worry about food falling off the edges. The curved edges keep food on the griddle and not on the cook top. This range is definitely well-worth the price!
my samsung range

This range was everything I expected. Great to look at and excellent to cook on. I also loved all the extra features and the griddle, wok grate and temp. probe. Every home should have this range.
