Had to replace a 15 year plus dryer. Did lots of looking before buying this one. Some had too many features and some not enough. For us, this dryer was right in the middle when it comes to features. A huge plus is the size of the door along with the fact, that when the door is open you can see inside of the drum while standing up. Some dryers you have to bend over to see into. The drum size is huge! The bed spread has no trouble being dried and it is a king size. If you have to reverse the door like we did, hinge on the left, it was a easy task to do. Enjoyed too is that the dryer does a good job at sensing the dryness of the clothes. No more over drying. The meter that shows how efficient your settings are is a nice touch. It is nice too that the dryer is quiet. Old one was getting to be a bit too much when it came to noise. All in all, so far a great dryer. May have given it five stars but since it has only been in operation for a couple of months, five stars has to be earned.

Hey, it's a clothes washer. Everything works. I'm happy with that. But because Sears didn't install it as promised, I had to deal with leveling it in my basement, where it resides. Since I have only a passing relationship with a wrench, the washing machine keeps moving around on the floor. While it's my wife who does most of the laundry, it's me who has to push the machine back into place. But it works. I hope it lasts as long as my last washing machine (a GE) did -- 15 years!

Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washer & Dryer
from Nevada, United States
Comments about Whirlpool 7.6CuFt Cabrio White Gas Dryer:
I purchased this washer/dryer combo and have been very happy with them. Based on reviews I was expecting to have some problems adjusting to making sure the clothing was evenly distributed so I wouldn't get the error unbalanced code/light. So far I have not had that problem. My only complaint about the washer is that it ate my cotton blanket. I carefully placed it around the drum and set the washer on heavy duty. When the load was finished the blanket looked like a mushroom and was stretched to ripping in several locations. I had to throw it away.

I really love my gas dryer. Especially the wrinkle free feature. I often get busy with other tasks. But this feature makes sure my clothes are wrinkle free when I return. In addition to this feature, the check vent red light is a great feature..excellent appliance.

This dryer is so wonderful. I love the front load and the space inside fits so much more than my preveious dryer. I love the eco boost and all the other features which enable me to dry my clothes the way i want to. basically dries my clothes with no wrinkles in the time stated on the dryer. would recommend this dryer and brand to anyone who asks me.

I had to replace my Maytag dryer, and I found this one, it has a huge drum for lots of clothes and dries them quickly. Love the Eco Booster feature too.

Not really happy with the performance of this drier. It does not dry as quickly as I would expect. It may be labeled energy efficient but not in the fact that it takes two cycles to completely dry the clothing. I do enjoy the wide opening of the door and the look of the machine.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Laundry Day No Longer a Chore
from Joliet, IL, United States
Since purchasing this Cabrio dryer 2 months ago my weekly laundry day is no longer a chore. Quiet, cost effective and quick drying this machine gets the job done better than any dryer I've previously owned.

I like the dryer, but was not happy with the change in the lint trap. I do not like it in the door. It doesn't seem to have the same area for collection and I always have to dig in the slit with a duster to get it all out. I don't feel it dryers as well either. Always have to give more minutes to jeans and towels.
To My Surprise!!!!!!!!

We purchase the pair with our tax return, its funny I wanted a pool table but my husband wanted to be safe and purchase a new washer and dryer since our old Whirlpool was over 12 years old. To my surprise my husband was correct with the purchase. I love my new pair. I didn't even hear the washer washing I stop and re-start it three times. Lol I had the cleanest work pants ever,,.. We redid the laundry room to include the washer and dryer. Once again my husband did good. First choosing me his high school sweetheart of 31 years married and again with Whirlpool. We both make a great pair. ;-)
Easy to operate and very eco friendly
I bought the Cabrio Whirlpool washer and dryer. My old ones lasted me twenty-eight years. At the beginning I was afraid to use it because it sounded very complicated, but I used the user manual a couple of times, and I really liked both and I found it is very easy to operate boyh. The only thing I think it should be included in the manual instructions and should come with the washer accessories, it is the appropriate tool to remove the nut of the center underneath the cap of the agitator to be able to get anything like coins going under. It happened to me yesterday that a quarter coin that I tried to remove from the washer slipped off my fingers and went underneath the center gap of the agitator and now I am going to have to make a call to the tech support where I bought the washer to find out how to do it. I did not not have a problem with my old washer to do this task. I just used a simple phillips screw driver.
