For years, Ive always bought a dryer from the big home improvement stores, looking for something under 300. They would work well for a while, then slowly I'd have to run the load an extra time to get the clothes dry. This time, I made a change. Sure, the Maytags are expensive, but in the end they are worth it. I never run the load more than one time; never had to have repairs; and it holds more than my previous dryers ever did. A purchase well spent.

Just had the dryer converted to propane today and washed a load tonight to try it out. Was excited but discovered it is extremely loud, has this hollow sound that is deafening. The dryer is in my cellar and can hear it though out the upstairs. Beautiful appliance and like the idea of a light inside the drum, wrinkle control feature and other options. Those choices are why I chose this dryer. Will not have to worry about the buzzer going off when load is done the silence will tell me. My 16 yr old Kenmore dryer that died was super quiet compared to this Maytag. Paid over $100 to convert & set up this dryer so guess I am stuck with it. I'm sure I will get used to the sound but did not expect to pay so much and feel this way . This is my 1st Maytag appliance . Many other brands to choose from.

Coating in drum peeling in a few months!
from San Bruno
Comments about Maytag White Centennial Gas Dryer:
After a few months of usage, the coating on the drum is peeling. Maytag rep says warranty does not cover this. Will not buy another Maytag appliance again. Made in USA......quality that DOESN'T last.

Faithful Maytag Shopper
By Luandry Dan
We have had several Maytag products overseveral years have all been excellent. We bought the washing machine in January,Then bought the matching gas dryer July 13,2015. We are happy with the washing machine. We still testing the dryer, the only this we are not happy with is the lint trap. It doesn't seal all the way. Leaves lint dust on top of the dryer. We clean it after every load.

I bought this dryer on June 29, 2015, and I am very pleased with it. ( had a stacked washer & dry, (maytag) It just went out had it for 18 yrs. that should tell you something. The new dryer so far I am happy with it, It has winkle control, so it helps prevent wrinkles, they come out bright & clean, & in no time. And I have plenty of choices to choose from. So, glad I got it.

Dryer works great and is very large! Can dry a queen sized quilt in one load. Don't like the lint trap placement. When it gets pulled out to clean, lint gets all over the top of the dryer... That needs to be redesigned! Otherwise, great product!

This dryer is very spacious and does not wrinkle my clothes. Has a great selection of heat settings. Love the light inside!

so far, so good with my new Maytag dryer; love the bigger size and the inside light is a nice feature too.

My wife couldn't be happier. Drys the cloths fast and wrinkle free. I had to revers the door easy as can be. Looking to upgrade the washing machine next year and it will be a Maytag...

Basic features, But adequate

We have just completed one month's use and are satisfied 100% up to this short time period. Only time will tell!? We chose the most basic dryer versus the new ones with all the bells and whistles costing $1,500-2,000.
