For years, Ive always bought a dryer from the big home improvement stores, looking for something under 300. They would work well for a while, then slowly I'd have to run the load an extra time to get the clothes dry. This time, I made a change. Sure, the Maytags are expensive, but in the end they are worth it. I never run the load more than one time; never had to have repairs; and it holds more than my previous dryers ever did. A purchase well spent.

Just had the dryer converted to propane today and washed a load tonight to try it out. Was excited but discovered it is extremely loud, has this hollow sound that is deafening. The dryer is in my cellar and can hear it though out the upstairs. Beautiful appliance and like the idea of a light inside the drum, wrinkle control feature and other options. Those choices are why I chose this dryer. Will not have to worry about the buzzer going off when load is done the silence will tell me. My 16 yr old Kenmore dryer that died was super quiet compared to this Maytag. Paid over $100 to convert & set up this dryer so guess I am stuck with it. I'm sure I will get used to the sound but did not expect to pay so much and feel this way . This is my 1st Maytag appliance . Many other brands to choose from.

Using this dryer for about a month now and I just love how smooth and quite this runs. The only issue is I had a hard time finding a cover to protect finish. But it's worth it.

I just bought this a few weeks ago after having problems with my other dryer that was only 2 years old. Wanted to go back to using the Whirlpool brand and so far I've had no issues.
