Pros: Affordable. It's not ink-jet (no clogged nozzles!). Small(-ish) footprint (see con). Nice looking, quiet, pretty quick (even 4ppm color is faster than many inkjets). Text print quality is excellent. Photo printing is very bright and good enough for amateur use. Printing from mobile devices is easy. Cons: Printer is actually 3.5" deeper when paper is inserted-the paper tray will stick out-more than pictured. Horizontal bands appear in the middle of the page for photos. WiFi setup took 3 hours for me (see separate review below). Possible issue waking up from Sleep (will update once I determine). I will have to try printing a very high quality image and see how it looks, but knowing the printer occasionally introduces horizontal banding, I probably wouldn't want to frame the result and hang it on a wall, however for printing beer-bottle labels, it is excellent! There is only the faintest of odors from this printer. There is no massive power spike on start-up that I've been able to detect, I believe this has to do with the low temperature polymer toner this printer uses (which has a nice glossy look to it BTW). Excellent driver software feature can optionally interrupt every printout with a print preview and in one click implement toner saving features-this may require a trip to their website for a download. Now for the review of the WiFi: Once working, I give the WiFi 3 stars due to a weird issue with the printer not being found or being able to be awakened after being switched off (sleep mode seems OK) or possibly interruption in the WiFi signal. The setup process, however, gets 0 stars from me. It took me 3 hours to get it to work and I never discovered exactly what it was that eventually made it work. I am fairly experienced and am using a top of the line router using WPS2-Personal security and AES encryption, and had no issues setting up another printer before this. After the first hour I installed the new firmware V3.XX.02.02 (which appears to be two separate updates-read the part about the blinking lights carefully), and then spent two more hours trying to get it to work again using the WPS buttons and the Easy Wireless Setup program from their website-which I wouldn't bother with. If you have trouble (I hope you don't) here are some hints: The printer can only use 2.4G WiFi. WiFi direct setup only works on 802.11B/G (not N) so B, G or Auto must be enabled at least during setup. I believe the key is to update the firmware, unplug and rerun the setup disc, however here is a full list of steps I followed: By default the printer sleeps in 5 minutes, keep it awake by changing the setting in the software or by hitting buttons. Connect the printer via LAN port and assign a static IP through your router before attempting WiFi setup and ensure UPnP (plug and play) is enabled (can't hurt). Update the firmware (manually from website-there is no auto update). Remove the LAN and USB cables, unplug the printer (do it!) restart your PC and router and put in the install disc again, allow auto software update, use WiFi Direct setup and allow it to re-install all the software. FINALLY!!! Good Luck! So far, the print results are making up for the bad WiFi experience I had, so I am not lowering my score too drastically based on this one feature.

The toner counts pages not amount of ink left. Went through a brand new Samsung black toner cartridge in a week printing about 1500 sheets with nothing more than one address per sheet. This probably would have added up to between 50 and 100 full print pages. This is not just sad this is pathetic. As far as I am concerned this makes this printer useless due to the cost of toner. My inkjet can print many more pages than this laser printer.

Worth the price

This printer is worth the price.. Very easy to use.. Best feature so far is the wireless connection to any pc. The price of the toners is a little high but seems to last a long time.
Solid Home or Home Office Printer
from Palatine, IL, USA
This printer prints with excellent quality. I have not tried to print on photo paper, but it works great for regular size and legal size documents. It also has a feature to print directly from my Samsung phone. The printer is easy to use and is flawlessly easy. The print manager allows you to have specific settings for those document types that you need to remember specific settings. The toners come with a basic number of copies. So I ordered the Samsung replacement toners which provide a much larger capacity. The lights on the printer even tell you when it is time to reorder because they will start flashing and once they are solid, that is the time to replace. I use the wireless capability so I can print from another room. I would definitely recommend this printer to anyone.
Powerhouse for a little guy!

Was skeptical because of LOW price, but so happy I took the chance. Was a breeze to set up and gives amazing copies!!
Good printer when it works
from North Carolina, USA
I've run 30 pages or so through this printer so far and I've had about 6-7 paper jams already using card stock. The options on the printer page allows me to select Card Stock option but most of the time that doesn't work and I've even tried the option for Thick paper. It has an option for manual feed, but I can't see where that is at on the back of the printer. I seems to print plain paper just fine, but not having much luck using it for what I really want it for.

Love the printer but it is very loud like something is stuck in it. I have looked at everything on it just is case some packing materials were left behind but, sadly no.
great for just everyday printing
This printer is great for plain paper printing. Although after owning and using the CLP410, I am a bit disappointed in the print quality. Or maybe the print quality went down after a jam. These printers do not handle thick paper stock well at all. This is what killed my CLP410. A jam caused the printing mirror sheet element to become loaded with toner. A mess. I still have it and want to repair it. But I needed a printer. So. I bought another Samsung thinking the toners were the same. The C410 and the CLP410 do not use the same toners. My mistake. So. I really do need to repair the CLP with 250$ or so of toner on hand. Bottom line. I like these printers better than any other printer I have ever owned. The wireless works great. Toner is a different medium than ink so it doesn't dry out and waste which makes owning this printer much more economical. i have resolved that I can't use card or glossy laser stock just to be on the safe side.

Love love love this feature. Of course the whole printer is amazing, but am very impressed by the wireless capabilities. WOOT WOOT!
Prints so clearly so much better than my other printer
from Rochester Michigan
It prints so clearly I was so impressed and I like the looks of it also only bad thing about it is it only prints one side of the paper.
So far so good
from New Jersey, USA
I feel it's a little soon to review since I've only used it twice, however, the print seems much better than my other inkjet printers. I hope it continues to be reliable.
