I bought this washer about a month ago. I did go to the site and read the reviews. It does make some noises but it is a new machine and machines change with the times. This has sensors to tell it what to do. How much water to use, and to use special detergent. I hardly have to use any. It uses less energy to run, less water, less detergent, I am saving all around. No large agitator in the tub, it spins the clothes practically dry. Less drying time in my dryer. I did not pick up the extened warranty. After a week I went back and bought the warranty, Since it has sensors I wanted to be safe on the warranty. You have up to 30 days from purchase to pick up the waranty.

After our reliable Maytag broke, we felt confident that Whirlpool would be the right choice for our new washing machine. We were impressed with the "no agitator" feature - it seemed we were keeping up with progress. Many of my washed items do not go in a dryer and are hung up to dry. This is impossible now. All clothes are heavily entwined and extremely wrinkled. Having done laundry for 50 years (I am 75), I have no need for instructions as how to do wash. However, I followed all guidelines that could supposedly eliminate the heavy wrinkling result. Pack clothes loosely, use warm water, use gentle setting, put a towel in with the clothes, etc. To no avail! I actually have to entwine clothing from twisted pajama pants. So sorry I bought this product. Wish I had my machine with agitator back. I now dread doing laundry. As far as energy savings - what energy savings (since I now have to iron most of my clothes)?

Comments about Whirlpool White Top Load Washer:
Love the no agitator, and have had great success using the hard water that we have. Have had the washer now for a few months and are very happy with it.

Excellent product and has performed better than expected. Trusted brand in Whirlpool has delivered. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 7 years old. Our laundry demands are high. This washer has handled our needs with no problem. More room than I expected in washer. Definitely recommend this product.
Service and delivery comments:
Excellent service from Abt as usual! Quick delivery and delivery guys were knowledgeable, on time and friendly.
I've had the washer for two months. I love it. It washes and rinses great. It takes a bit longer than I'm used to, but that is ok. It is a little bit loud, but nothing too bad.
Extremely efficient product
This is the best washer I have ever purchased. Laundry comes out clean and the time to do laundry is cut in half compared to my old washer. This washer is built to last. I highly recommend this product. It is by far superior to any other washer I have purchased in the past.
This is my first HE washer. It does take some getting used to. The cycle is longer and since there is no window, I can't tell what the water level is or if I'm using the correct amount of detergent. A few times a load of dark clothes has come out with some kind of residue on some of the items. It also is somewhat noisy during operation. I do like the fact that it isn't exceptionally heavy like the front losing HE washers. That would have been a huge concern with getting it into the basement.
We bought the Whirlpool 3.8 cu.ft. Top load washer 3 months ago to replace a 25 year old Kenmore washer. This was the first washer we had ever used that didn't have the tall center agitator. This made it easier to get more clothes in the washer. We really like the water saving feature of the washer sensing the size of the load. It works incredibly well.

Big improvement over my old washer

I bought this about a month ago because I had to (leaking washer), not because I really needed to. However, it is a big step up from my previous washer - larger capacity, uses less water, spin-dries much better. Time will tell about reliability. And I appreciate that it was made in the US
lots of features

I have had this washer for a couple of months and I love it. With the different cycles I can wash anything and know it will come out perfect. No problems with heavy loads or light loads.

We love our new washer!! It's great. Clothes are very clean, no problems at all!! We always by whirlpool washer and dryers! We could use a new whirpool fridge, we moved in this house 5 years ago and they left this Kenmore fridge. The ice maker is broke and not very efficient!! But we would live to have your fridge!!
