I bought this washer about a month ago. I did go to the site and read the reviews. It does make some noises but it is a new machine and machines change with the times. This has sensors to tell it what to do. How much water to use, and to use special detergent. I hardly have to use any. It uses less energy to run, less water, less detergent, I am saving all around. No large agitator in the tub, it spins the clothes practically dry. Less drying time in my dryer. I did not pick up the extened warranty. After a week I went back and bought the warranty, Since it has sensors I wanted to be safe on the warranty. You have up to 30 days from purchase to pick up the waranty.

After our reliable Maytag broke, we felt confident that Whirlpool would be the right choice for our new washing machine. We were impressed with the "no agitator" feature - it seemed we were keeping up with progress. Many of my washed items do not go in a dryer and are hung up to dry. This is impossible now. All clothes are heavily entwined and extremely wrinkled. Having done laundry for 50 years (I am 75), I have no need for instructions as how to do wash. However, I followed all guidelines that could supposedly eliminate the heavy wrinkling result. Pack clothes loosely, use warm water, use gentle setting, put a towel in with the clothes, etc. To no avail! I actually have to entwine clothing from twisted pajama pants. So sorry I bought this product. Wish I had my machine with agitator back. I now dread doing laundry. As far as energy savings - what energy savings (since I now have to iron most of my clothes)?

Our Magic Geni!

Comments about Whirlpool White Top Load Washer:
What a joy to watch our little magic geni chug along and bring out sparkling clean clothes! In the beginning, it, like all currently new appliances, was so different with its sounds and actions, it took me aback. Not so now! Now, I just love every sound it makes, knowing after I push that one little button, in a few minutes, our clothes will be great! Thank you for this Whirpool bonanza!

We bought this washer about a month ago. It has taken some getting use but I love it. You have to put the detergent into the machine and then the clothes on top of that. The machine senses the size of the load and dispenses the water level depending on the load size. My last washer was a whirlpool and it lasted 13 years. I plan on this one lasting that long and saving me money on water!

We have had it now for a month & are very satisfied with it's performance.
An" AAA+++" washer in every since of the word.

I was a bit hesitant on the in store literature describing how quite this machine would be. Well, they are absolutely correct. I was expecting that whirling , sloshing , sound of any typical washing machine. Hardly noticed that it was even running. Love the internal load sensor , it does help on eliminating the guess work on water usage with the load.

Bought this washer a month ago for our vacation home. SO happy with the purchase wanting the same model at home. The washtub is so large I can wash bedding and towels for 7 of us in 2 loads not 5! I no longer get left behind to do laundry, I get to go hiking with the grandkids! Life is good!
Lots of options
Love all the options for dirt level, temperature, cycles. Kind of bangs around on the spin cycle.
Awesome machine....great price!

I bought this machine two months ago. I wasn't sure I would like a machine without an agitator. My clothes and sheets are so clean. The machine uses less water...which is a bonus. I would recommend this machine to everyone.
Great features and easy to use

Works o.k., not ideal

This washer is just ok. Some cycles do well, others do not.. Even following instructions to a "T", still is difficult to rinse the soap out with just one wash. I wish that there was a way to set the water level a little deeper for each cycle. Contrary to expectations, the machine does tangle sheets and curtains terribly.
