I bought this washer about a month ago. I did go to the site and read the reviews. It does make some noises but it is a new machine and machines change with the times. This has sensors to tell it what to do. How much water to use, and to use special detergent. I hardly have to use any. It uses less energy to run, less water, less detergent, I am saving all around. No large agitator in the tub, it spins the clothes practically dry. Less drying time in my dryer. I did not pick up the extened warranty. After a week I went back and bought the warranty, Since it has sensors I wanted to be safe on the warranty. You have up to 30 days from purchase to pick up the waranty.

After our reliable Maytag broke, we felt confident that Whirlpool would be the right choice for our new washing machine. We were impressed with the "no agitator" feature - it seemed we were keeping up with progress. Many of my washed items do not go in a dryer and are hung up to dry. This is impossible now. All clothes are heavily entwined and extremely wrinkled. Having done laundry for 50 years (I am 75), I have no need for instructions as how to do wash. However, I followed all guidelines that could supposedly eliminate the heavy wrinkling result. Pack clothes loosely, use warm water, use gentle setting, put a towel in with the clothes, etc. To no avail! I actually have to entwine clothing from twisted pajama pants. So sorry I bought this product. Wish I had my machine with agitator back. I now dread doing laundry. As far as energy savings - what energy savings (since I now have to iron most of my clothes)?

Comments about Whirlpool White Top Load Washer:
The delivery crew was great! they had the old units out and the new ones in with out a problem and no effort on my part in very little time. They were very easy to talk with and answered all my questions before they left. Two very nice guys.

Was very skeptical about getting a washer without an agitator. Sales lady told me I would not be disappointed and boy was she right! Love this machine.

We have had our machine for 3 weeks now. Uses less water and electricity. Whirlpool is a good manufacturer and we are very happy with the results. Hope this one will last 20 years like our old one did.

Have had the new washer for several months now and at times regret giving up my old washer. This washer doesn't have an agitator with a cup on top for fabric softener. The manual says you have to use a Downy Ball in order to continue to use liquid fabric softener. Guesses what? No stores sell them anymore and all the reviews I've read are negative for ruining laundry. I would prefer to use liquid softener as dryer sheets are bad for asthma as well as your dryer but no longer have that option. That issue aside, I haven't found that my laundry is getting as clean as it used to either and it's sooooo loud. I'm thankful the washer is in the garage because the noise level is aggravating. It sounds broken.

My wife and I bought this a month ago and love the efficiency. The no agitator saves our clothes. Thank you whirlpool.
So far, so good!

I bought this in September of 2014 after my last machine(Whirlpool) of only two years had the motor burn out. I have to admit I have not had any problems out of it. A few times it seemed too slow to start but the manual noted that. My clothes sometimes come out with lint stains on them from the wash, and I have to re wash, but not so much that I am unsatisfied. It handles heavy loads really well even though they have to be spun again. It's a bit noisy on spin cycle, but not enough to bother me. I purchased the extended warranty through the retailer so hopefully I will not have the same experience as the last Whirlpool I owned. Good machine at an average price.

We have had our washer about 7 months. It's more spacious than our last one and has more options than I'll ever use. the one thing I don't like about it is it's just as noisy as our last one and the last one was about 15 years old. Besides that I have no complaints and does just fine.
