All clothes dryers really need to do is dry clothes. With that being said, I think this dryer actually elevates the task. The temperatures are on point. The settings are: High, medium, low, extra low and no heat! What a selection!. Although we mostly use high and medium low, time to time, we do find the need for the other settings. The end-of-cycle intermittent tumble reduces wrinkles. Its nice looking and my adult kids keep coming over with their synthetics to dry and sing its praise. We replaced a 6 year old Kenmore elite dryer with this and are very pleased.

This is the third Whirlpool dryer I have owned. The first one lasted 22 years with only one service call to repair a thermocouple(sp?). The second one lasted 22 years with no service calls. The belt finally broke but that was all that was wrong with it. I thought that since it was 22 years old, maybe I should not spend the money to repair but purchase a new one. Now compared to the two I had in the past, this one does not have the features and does not appear to be as solid in construction. The first one had a germicide light, the second one did not have any light; however, both had a panel underneath the door that could be removed for cleaning. The new one does not and I do not like that. It means that I will have to have a service person to come out to clean any lint that accumulates. I did this cleaning myself about once a year. Now I cannot and it will mean an extra expense. The dryer works fine and I do like the wrinkle prevent feature; however, I do not think this dryer will last 22 years. That does not really matter because I probably will be gone before that happens as I am 72 years old.l Thank you for giving me an opportunity to put in my two cents worth.

Simple and Quiet
from Minneapolis, MN
After a couple repairs to my previous Whirlpool dryer (no complaint, it had dried MANY loads of laundry) it was time to stop repairing and get a new one. I wanted a simple dryer without spending too much, and this one was a good deal without a lot of extra features.Anyway, the drum is noticeably larger than the previous (although the outer cabinet is the same) which is nice. I don't think I'd load any more clothes in at a time, but that means they have more room to tumble. Also, it is quite a bit quieter which is really nice. The lint trap seems to catch more than the old one as well. The buzzer is pretty awful, but easy to turn off.I've only had it a week or so, but probably run 10-12 loads in that time. It seems to be working well, dries quickly, no problems. If it lasts as long as the last one, I'll be perfectly happy.

Whirlpool 7.0 cu.ft Dryer
from Cleveland, Ohio
My past two Whirlpool dryers had the accudry sensors, this one did not. I have to say it drys equally as good as the one with the sensors if not better. My biggest problem with it is the side opening door and lack of interior light to see. If the door dropped down like my old one and had a light, this would be a fantastic dryer. Sadly it does not, but it still works fine.

Dial is hard to turn, does not move from setting to setting.

I am very pleased with the size of my dryer and how fast it dries.

We've had our new dryer for 8 months. I'm very pleased with dry times. I primarily use the timed dry feature. Any batch I dry, heavy jeans to thick comforters, all dry in less than 1 hour. I'm amazed how a full comforter gets dry all the way through. I had to rearrange comforters a few times to get them all the way dry in our former dryer. The heat adjusts successfully so my delicates are properly dried.
Great dryer at a resonable price.

My dryer had broke. The heat element on it decided to go out. I was drying clothes on air dry for 4 months because I couldn't afford a new dryer. It took me a while to save the money to buy my new Whirlpool dryer. Ive had my new dryer now for 2 months. My Whirlpool dryer is amazing. My clothes dry so quickly. Ive been through several dryers in my life and the purchase of my Whirlpool dryer is the best invesentment i've ever made!!! THANK YOU WHIRLPOOL!!!

I have had this dryer for the past 11 months. It has stopped drying but thankfully it is covered under the warranty and will be promptly fixed. When working it does a decent job in sensing the clothes and stops when they are dry
