TOP RACK FALLING APART

Comments about KitchenAid Stainless Steel Dishwasher:
Had the Architect Series dishwasher installed in September of 2013. Two years later the top rack and the connectors to the rack rail have literally fallen apart. This has rendered the top rack useless. I had my previous dishwasher for over 10 years and never experienced any problems. The quality of the rack materials for this level of dishwasher seems quite poor.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

We've had our new dishwasher for about a month. It cleans the dishes even when not completely rinsed (all our other dishwashers wouldn't do this). We are sold!!

Architect II dishwasher has been in operation for 4 weeks. It literally stinks inside. Can't find anything on the Kitchenaid website that has an operations manual or addresses any way to discover why it stinks inside. I ran the rinse cycle yesterday when dishes were put into it (though it was not full) and today it stinks. Anyone have a suggestion?
Didn't clean nd no replacement

I bought this a month ago and found immediately that it did not clean the dishes. I call customer service and was told I had to wait a week for repair service rather than just replacing the unit. The repair service stated the entire inside mechanism was defective and he had to order a new one. He suggested that I request a replacement unit which I did and was again denied. I waited another week for the part and repairman came and it still wouldn't work. After waiting another week for the part he came and it now finally functions correctly. So.....I have had it a month abut it has only recently begun to work correctly.

I bought this and installed it the first day only to find that it did not clean my dishes. WHen I called I was told they would send a repairman which they did one week later. He said the unit was defective and I should call and ask for a replacement. Whirlpool refused and sent a part. I am now three weeks into the repair which is scheduled for the next week (this is the third repair visit).

The first dishwasher had a dent in the stainless steel when it was received. Abt replaced it immediately. The best customer support ever.
