Comments about Bosch Tools Lithium Ion Battery:
Obviously, OEM. Spendy, but you do get more ampere-hours for jobs.

Plenty of Power
from Cape Coral, FL, United States
I had purchased the Bosch 18V Impact drill kit, that came with 2 "fat pack" batteries, over 2 years ago. I am an HVAC contractor and I put that impact drill, and the fat pack batteries to the test. I set tap cons, lag bolts, etc , and I'll tell you what, the drill and batteries never even hiccupped once. I think I would need to charge a battery every other day. I can't believe the longevity on these batteries. NiCad batteries are yesteryear, in comparison to the technology that has arrived with Li-ion. With my old NiCad batteries, if I left them in my work truck over 2 weeks I would have to top them off before heavy use. With these fat pack batteries, if I leave them in my work truck without using them for over 1 month, you can bet I had minimal loss in power. Trust me, I've experienced that already. I was sure the battery would be dead after sitting in my work truck, in the Florida heat over a month. I couldn't believe these batteries barely lost any power. I was impressed and a believer in Li-ion technology. One of my original fat pack batteries failed after over 2 years of HEAVY use, so I had to purchase a new one as a back up. I LOVE the new model with it's fuel gauge. Now I can see how many more tap cons I can set without guessing how much of a charge I have before climbing all the way back up my ladder. The battery gauge sure is a time saver.
Lots of power

I finally upgraded my twenty plus year old 12volt cordless tools. The Bosch 18v batteries seem to last forever in comparison. Very happy I upgraded to the Bosch system. I will be buying more in the future. I have recommended Bosch to many people since my purchase.
How long will this battery (4.0 AH) keep my jobsite radio charged for if I'm listening to music through the AUX port?
at the top of its class
I have a couple of these and i like the fast reload and durability..
Run Life of batteries

I used Makita for many years before switching to Bosch. I am very happy with the tools. The tools are very well made but the batteries need improvement. Compared to Makita these 18v batteries don't compare. I can barely rip a 2x4 with fully charged battery and new blade. I am very disappointed!

In comparison to Ni Cad batteries by another brand, the Bosch Fat Pack batteries can't be beat. I'm an HVAC contractor, and I could set hanging straps to red iron easily all day on a full charge. The batteries also charge in 30 minutes, not 45- 60 minutes like other brands. The charger also has a built in fan to help cool the battery down while it's charging, in case it was heavily used and hot. My other brand of batteries (for another cordless drill I have), will not charge until the batteries cool off because of heavy usage. So sometimes my other branded batteries have to just "sit in the shade" for about an hour before I can even ATTEMPT to place them in the charger to charge.
great for the bocsh radio
It works great for my radio. Love how long it last and the power display.
