The saw is better than I expected. Everything was in perfect alignment. The blade elevates and tilts easily. I especially like the table extension. The lock handle is very positive so I am sure it is locked down before I make my cuts. My splurge was the digital carriage. It is so accurate, I am glad I bought it. The smart guard is a great idea and because it is so easy to install, (no tools), I put it on when needed. I can always find it because it stores right on the saw. I like the gravity rise stand idea, but after setting it up, I find it has such a large footprint, it's awkward to get around. I wish I had bought the standard stand.

      Buyer Beware of Potential Problems

I purchased this saw based upon the various reviews I read as well as the Bosch reputation. So I would love to be reviewing the saw for how good it works as a saw but unfortunately I cannot. As I was going through the adjustments, as per the instruction booklet, imagine my surprise when I was adjusting the blade parallel to the miter gauge slots when one of the screws stripped. Well it was the aluminum saw blade housing that the screws screwed into that stripped. I didn’t use that much force; in fact I used more force to loosen the screw than I did to tighten them. It appears that the steel screw thread is too fine for the aluminum application. I wished that I didn’t need to adjust the blade but the way I received it, it was about a 1/8â€ off parallel â€" front to back. This was just too far off. This happened on a Saturday morning and the Bosch service department is closed on the weekend so I had to wait until Monday morning to call them. They recommended I take it to a local Bosch authorized service center (not Bosch owned) which I was glad to do. Once there, the service department told me they would try to expedite it but it may take a week to get it back to me. If they had to send it back to Bosch it would take a few weeks and they would HAVE TO CHARGE ME THE UPS SHIPPING CHARGE. The saw is brand new and I have to pay to fix a defect on a new saw? I guess we will see how this plays out. I know I should have waited until this did play out but I wanted to get my experience out there so people thinking about purchasing this saw would be aware of the potential stripping of the adjustment screws as well as the potential problems getting a new saw fixed. I personally feel since the saw is new (the zip tie installed at the factory to lock the on/off switch hasn’t been cut yet) Bosch should just replace the saw â€" no harm no foul. Whether they do or not doesn’t fix the fact that the aluminum saw blade housing is a potential problem. I do give two stars because I purchased this saw with the gravity-rise stand and it went together rather nicely. The instructions were incorrect with the necessary wrenches required. It seems that they have beefed up some of the bolts because the wrenches mentioned in the instruction booklet were smaller than actually needed. The solid tires are a nice change from the pneumatic tires that used to be provided. Once the saw was attached to the stand it worked nicely in moving the saw to my truck so I could take it to the repair facility.

      Only lasted 3 years!

      By Good4u

Comments about Bosch Tools 10" Worksite Table Saw with Gravity-Rise Wheeled Stand:

I have a 4100 I use for finish carpentry. The other day the saw just stopped working! The brushes are hardly worn, cord is good, switch his good and that leaves the motor. There is no reset button on the motor to protect it from overload or overheating! Not that I ever pushed my saw to that point but to have to replace a saw after only three years that is a shame!! The idea is to go to work to make money, not pay money to go to work! I am disappointed to not have gotten at least an few more years out of my investment. I am going to look into buying a new 4100-09 because I do like the product and the features like the gravity stand and I hope to have a better experience with the new one!

      Low reliability

Comments about Bosch Tools 10" Worksite Table Saw with Gravity-Rise Wheeled Stand:

I am a contractor and use this saw for my living. I am really disappointed with the quality of the bearings in the motor. For the price and the hype, Bosch should have used a little bit better quality parts. This saw got one iteration of repair; then it's junk; and I'm off to another brand.

      JOBSITE TABLESAW.

Comments about Bosch Tools 10" Worksite Table Saw with Gravity-Rise Wheeled Stand:

As with any tool, there are limitations. I used it in my garage for ripping and also transported it to a jobsite. The stand is great and the saw has nice features.  I wanted one that would rip  over 45 degrees for outside corners  when installing siding and this one is capable of that. Helps in keeping the joint tight .   Plenty of power and good saftey features  which are easy to take on and off.   The only thing I had any complaint about were the caps covering ends on the stand came out and I used tape  to create a tighter fit....

      Great saw so far

      By Mehran

Comments about Bosch Tools 10" Worksite Table Saw with Gravity-Rise Wheeled Stand:

Bosch 4100-09 is very accurate, quiet, and stable. The gravity stand is very comfortable and easy to use. The saw is almost perfect. The two issues that I have is 1) the height of the saw. Perhaps I prefer the saw a little lower. 2) dust collection is effective but could be improved.

      best table saw by far

      By boblane

Comments about Bosch Tools 10" Worksite Table Saw with Gravity-Rise Wheeled Stand:

Ive owned the 4100 with the gravity rise stand for 3 years now. Nothing compares. Ease of use, adjustability, durability, mobility, dust extraction option, and included accessories.  The 4100 is lightwight compared to competitors products.  The blade that bosch provides is a 40 tooth that I have used through 4 basement renos a few bathrooms and various other products. Also provided is an optional push stick for safety. Blade changes are simple and quick  with a blade insert that removes easily with a flat head screw driver then push dwn the blade stop and the provided wrench spins the arbor nut off and your half way done.  Blade storage is possible on the side with a wing nut which is a nice feature. The back has a cord wrap for your power cord. Optional left hand arm extension and rear extension are available to purchase for extra room to hold more sizable material. This thing is extremely accurate. I have had no issues thus far and I know of some people who have purchased the digital ripfence attachment which I believe is  true to 1/32 of an inch. I am not just repping bosch bc I want ppl to buy their saw I have used rigid, dewalt, and makita's version of their current swas and all are inferior. For the price your getting every pennys worth.

Couldn't ask for more in a small saw

Comments about Bosch Tools 10" Worksite Table Saw with Gravity-Rise Wheeled Stand:

I've had mine for a few years now and I can't say enough good things about it. It cuts better than most big saws, is easy to adjust, can handle big pieces of wood (especially with the accessory extenders), and folds up so I can still park in the garage or fit it in my truck.

I've had this saw for a couple years now and couldn't be happier. The Gravity Rise stand is awesome and the saw itself has out done any other jobsite saws I've ever owned or used.

The Bosch 4100-09 is a great portable table saw.

      By McGyver

      from Los Angeles Area

Comments about Bosch Tools 10" Worksite Table Saw with Gravity-Rise Wheeled Stand:

Excellent saw with one minor limitation. First, a semi-negative comment. There are only 7 inches of table in front of the blade. My old Craftsman measures 13" in front of the blade. I wonder if 7" will be enough to accommodate a miter gauge and a wide piece of lumber. I gave the saw a 5 star rating in spite of this negative comment because the smaller size of the table is what I should expect from a portable saw. I didn't stop to think about the table size when I bought this saw and I'm glad I didn't because I love what I ended up with. Assembly was easy because the instructions are good. Setting up the saw was easy because the factory settings were either perfect or the adjustment was easy. I was worried about the blade alignment adjustment because that was the problem with my old saw and the reason for buying a new one. I couldn’t get any pre-purchase information about the Bosch concerning adjusting blade alignment but it turned out to be a non-problem. The factory setting was perfect. The manual shows how to do the adjustment if it is ever necessary and the method seems to be good. I have done some cuts both ripping and crosscutting and the accuracy is perfect in every way. This saw is amazingly easy to move. The geometry is so well balanced that an old man like me can easily lift it into the "hand truck" position, move it to a new location and set it back down into the operating position. I am completely happy with this saw.
