The saw is better than I expected. Everything was in perfect alignment. The blade elevates and tilts easily. I especially like the table extension. The lock handle is very positive so I am sure it is locked down before I make my cuts. My splurge was the digital carriage. It is so accurate, I am glad I bought it. The smart guard is a great idea and because it is so easy to install, (no tools), I put it on when needed. I can always find it because it stores right on the saw. I like the gravity rise stand idea, but after setting it up, I find it has such a large footprint, it's awkward to get around. I wish I had bought the standard stand.

I purchased this saw based upon the various reviews I read as well as the Bosch reputation. So I would love to be reviewing the saw for how good it works as a saw but unfortunately I cannot. As I was going through the adjustments, as per the instruction booklet, imagine my surprise when I was adjusting the blade parallel to the miter gauge slots when one of the screws stripped. Well it was the aluminum saw blade housing that the screws screwed into that stripped. I didn’t use that much force; in fact I used more force to loosen the screw than I did to tighten them. It appears that the steel screw thread is too fine for the aluminum application. I wished that I didn’t need to adjust the blade but the way I received it, it was about a 1/8â€ off parallel â€" front to back. This was just too far off. This happened on a Saturday morning and the Bosch service department is closed on the weekend so I had to wait until Monday morning to call them. They recommended I take it to a local Bosch authorized service center (not Bosch owned) which I was glad to do. Once there, the service department told me they would try to expedite it but it may take a week to get it back to me. If they had to send it back to Bosch it would take a few weeks and they would HAVE TO CHARGE ME THE UPS SHIPPING CHARGE. The saw is brand new and I have to pay to fix a defect on a new saw? I guess we will see how this plays out. I know I should have waited until this did play out but I wanted to get my experience out there so people thinking about purchasing this saw would be aware of the potential stripping of the adjustment screws as well as the potential problems getting a new saw fixed. I personally feel since the saw is new (the zip tie installed at the factory to lock the on/off switch hasn’t been cut yet) Bosch should just replace the saw â€" no harm no foul. Whether they do or not doesn’t fix the fact that the aluminum saw blade housing is a potential problem. I do give two stars because I purchased this saw with the gravity-rise stand and it went together rather nicely. The instructions were incorrect with the necessary wrenches required. It seems that they have beefed up some of the bolts because the wrenches mentioned in the instruction booklet were smaller than actually needed. The solid tires are a nice change from the pneumatic tires that used to be provided. Once the saw was attached to the stand it worked nicely in moving the saw to my truck so I could take it to the repair facility.

Comments about Bosch Tools 10" Table Saw With Gravity-Rise Stand:
The 4100 is a dream, cuts like butter with a good blade, super quite. The 40T blade that came with it is off by 10/1000. Doesn't sound like much but the vibration in the saw is audible. With an accurate blade it's almost silent....

Better than expected

FYI - I work for a different division of Bosch. I have owned this saw for about 5 years now and I am continually impressed with how well it works. I have owned a few other saws before this one, and had trouble with getting a true cut or keeping it true over time. With the Bosch I set the fence to what the indicator says, I don't bother double checking any more with my tape measure, and I let 'er rip. Perfect every time. The only complaints I have is the tires go flat after a few months and the handle gets scuffed up and eventually rusts from contacting the ground when folded.
A tough saw with the best folding stand around
from Canton, GA
I have had this table saw for years now and have experienced typical Bosch reliability. Wrestling any table saw out of the back of your truck is a pain. The large tubes on this smooth folding frame makes for easy handling. The frame is by far the best out there when folding back up for packing; it does not slam together and there are no pinching points to catch your fingers. Very well thought out design.
Love the portablity!

I've had one for several years. I love how I can move it around in my shop or load it in my truck to do some work and my in-laws house. I can fold it up and put it out of the way. Its easy setup is great too! I use it just about everyday.
Nice saw and stand -- silly wheels
I love the saw, and except for some minor problems with ensuring that the rip fence is true it does a great job. The dust relief isn't the best either, particularly if cutting pressure treated wood (the sawdust sticks to the inside of the housing, even when using a shop vac. to catch the dust). But the pneumatic wheels have the inflation valve on the inside against the frame, so it's virtually impossible to pump up the tires without removing the wheel from the frame. This isn't a daily ritual but a couple of times each season when I want to roll the saw around and find the tires low, it's an extra half hour to do what should take two minutes!
Wobbles on delivery.
from DeLand, FL, United States
The motor/blade has a 1/32 wobble each way and has had from the beginning. I'm not a cabinet maker so it rarely has an impact on my work, which is why I gave it 4-stars. It's a good saw with lots of quality. I trust it to do the job.
Great Saw and Stand

Perfect tool for my shop which has limited storage space.
good but there are better
I love all my Bosch tools, so when I came to buying a new table saw I decide to go with Bosch. This is a good saw that comes with a decent blade, but it has a couple of annoying shortcomings. It does not have a geared micro adjustment that some saws come with which I thought was unfortunate. It is also hard to read the ruler at a glance. The magnifier is small and obscures the whole number though it does magnify the fraction well. For this reason I bought the digital readout option with the saw but it broke the second time I used it and was a fairly complicated set-up and did not work properly when opening the saw to the 24 inch wide mode, I got a refund. The other thing that annoyed me about the saw was the gravity stand which comes up and down easy enough but the rubber tabs on the opposite side from the wheels are so low to the ground when you are moving it that they catch on everything, drop clothes, scraps on the floor etc. Wider inflatable wheels would also be an improvement. When first using the saw I thought the motor was bogging down, but after a while you realize that's just the way it is, it does slow down a little but does power well through large dimensional lumber. I recommend getting the optional width and length supports that some saws come with, they were cheap enough. Overall it's a good saw but I found after a year I was wishing I bought the rigid for less money or the Makita for more money.
Sturdy stand and nice features

I have owned this saw for a few years with no problems. The portable stand works well and was a big reason I bought this saw. I like the soft start for the blade motor and it has worked flawlessly.
