The saw is better than I expected. Everything was in perfect alignment. The blade elevates and tilts easily. I especially like the table extension. The lock handle is very positive so I am sure it is locked down before I make my cuts. My splurge was the digital carriage. It is so accurate, I am glad I bought it. The smart guard is a great idea and because it is so easy to install, (no tools), I put it on when needed. I can always find it because it stores right on the saw. I like the gravity rise stand idea, but after setting it up, I find it has such a large footprint, it's awkward to get around. I wish I had bought the standard stand.

I purchased this saw based upon the various reviews I read as well as the Bosch reputation. So I would love to be reviewing the saw for how good it works as a saw but unfortunately I cannot. As I was going through the adjustments, as per the instruction booklet, imagine my surprise when I was adjusting the blade parallel to the miter gauge slots when one of the screws stripped. Well it was the aluminum saw blade housing that the screws screwed into that stripped. I didn’t use that much force; in fact I used more force to loosen the screw than I did to tighten them. It appears that the steel screw thread is too fine for the aluminum application. I wished that I didn’t need to adjust the blade but the way I received it, it was about a 1/8â€ off parallel â€" front to back. This was just too far off. This happened on a Saturday morning and the Bosch service department is closed on the weekend so I had to wait until Monday morning to call them. They recommended I take it to a local Bosch authorized service center (not Bosch owned) which I was glad to do. Once there, the service department told me they would try to expedite it but it may take a week to get it back to me. If they had to send it back to Bosch it would take a few weeks and they would HAVE TO CHARGE ME THE UPS SHIPPING CHARGE. The saw is brand new and I have to pay to fix a defect on a new saw? I guess we will see how this plays out. I know I should have waited until this did play out but I wanted to get my experience out there so people thinking about purchasing this saw would be aware of the potential stripping of the adjustment screws as well as the potential problems getting a new saw fixed. I personally feel since the saw is new (the zip tie installed at the factory to lock the on/off switch hasn’t been cut yet) Bosch should just replace the saw â€" no harm no foul. Whether they do or not doesn’t fix the fact that the aluminum saw blade housing is a potential problem. I do give two stars because I purchased this saw with the gravity-rise stand and it went together rather nicely. The instructions were incorrect with the necessary wrenches required. It seems that they have beefed up some of the bolts because the wrenches mentioned in the instruction booklet were smaller than actually needed. The solid tires are a nice change from the pneumatic tires that used to be provided. Once the saw was attached to the stand it worked nicely in moving the saw to my truck so I could take it to the repair facility.

Comments about Bosch Tools 10" Table Saw With Gravity-Rise Stand:
I have only used this saw a few times since I bought it a few weeks ago but it has performed flawlessly. Whether ripping a long 2X8 or cutting small wood strips for picture frames, the results are a clean straight cut.The gravity stand is wonderful, easy to use and very stable when rigged for cutting. In seconds, the stand folds and the saw is out of the way for other projects. I noticed one of these saws at major construction site yesterday. It looked pretty beat up due to rough usage but it was still working fine so my saw should last me for life.

I have a few Bosch products and I am happy with all of them. The 4100-09 is a great saw. Well built, a pleasure to use. Fairly easy to put together. Made a few wrong moves, but figured it out. Very satisfied with this saw.
Great Ripper without ripping fingers

I bought this after reading a review of several leading table saws in popular mechanics. I have used this saw for a month repairing fences no problems, and the guards keep my fingers intact.

I purchased this over six months ago and it proves Bosch's quality. The only thing that I didn't like was the assembly instructions. You could do it but it wasn't really easy, unless mine was missing labels and that was what made it difficult. It was worth the effort for the product received.

A Perfect Handyman's table saw.
from Washington, United States
I'm a handyman and not a professional cabinet maker by any means. This saw cost quite a bit more than the bottom of the line table saw, but...... This is the one you want! This saw makes it easy to set-up and tear down. Easy to store it away when your done and just as easy to take it to the job-site. This saw is accurate as soon as you set it up, and it stays accurate each time. The quality of this saw makes your handyman skills look like a professional did it. You don't need the best, you just need this one!
Nice saw. Very nice folding stand.
from Canton, GA
Have had this saw and table combo for over 2 years now and it is holding up great. The table is already polished from all the wood it has cut. The fence is easy to adjust and the motor has plenty of power. But it is the folding stand with real rubber tires (not crummy plastic ones) that makes me love it everytime I pull it out and put it away.

I had the old table saw some of you might remember the belt driven solid steel and love it, until I got this one of the things I did not envy was that it took two men to take the saw in and out of the truck. After a long day it's nice not to have to kill yourself just putting your tools a way

I have had only success with this saw. While, sometimes the blade is a little small, its precision allows me to simply flip the board over and cut from the other side.
Easy to use by yourself!

I usually work alone and this saw is not only easy to move and set up, but works well and can provide A much-needed table saw for on site work, or those with small DIY garage set-ups.
