Purchased this this saw to replace a dying Makita 2703 table saw. The GTS1031 comes pre assembled and ready to go. All critical alignments with the fence are within acceptable tolerance for the do it yourself class. I took the time to adjust the riving knife, fence, 90 degree setting and 45 Degree stops. After that I cut through laminated particle board with the supplied rip blade and found clean results. Let me say I was impressed. I did install a new 60 tooth Freud and made an adapter to connect to a Rigid Vac along with buying the zero clearance insert. Cuts with a vacuum are almost dustless. Great for installations where dust control are needed. Easy to set up with optional stand, moderate strength to carry from truck to site. onboard miter gauge too inaccurate for precision cuts. Really needs the soft start on motor, blades wobble 1/8 or more on start up. surface coating scratches easily. overall well though out. Much better that the Dewalt for smooth cuts in thick stock, Dewalt motor mount allows lift and vibration on blade, Bosch doesn't. Cuts 18" wide. Riving knife is a great asset for thicker stock. Very safe saw to operate, stand is sturdy on long cuts for 1 man operation. out feed rollers a must on 4x8 sheet goods. would buy this saw for my grandmother

The fence is weak, not parallel with the table, the blade change is difficult. Slot for dust collection chute is narrow for blade, nut & washer removal. Plastic coating on table top is easily dissolved with lacquer thinner. When turning power on the blade sometimes wobbles so much that widens the cut through the zero clearance throat. Using a Freud D1040X ATB General Purpose 40 tooth blade. Great design overall. I expected better quality from Bosch

Comments about Bosch Tools 10" Worksite Table Saw:
Have been looking at this saw for awhile, and finally was tired of hauling and setting up my dinosaur Bosch 4000 series with the Rousseau stand. Had seen several of the smaller saws showing up on jobsites more often. Especially with the cabinet installers. Debating between the yellow one and the Bosch, I chose the Bosch based on my experience with their older model that I had used for years. I have been using it daily now since 5/14 on the job. So here are the things I like about it; it's light weight and with the stand it's easily set up and ready to go. With a set of collapsible saw horses and a piece of plywood you have an extension table. So far it has handled everything I have thrown at it. The way everything tucks away when it's time to go and storing it in my truck is great. It takes up a little less than half the room that my 4000 did which is great. Now the things I don't like about it; although its fence is accurate, it's not as easy to work with as my 4000 or the yellow one's (always wondered why Bosch has not come up with a system that operates as well as theirs). It is not a soft start, but have gotten used to the 0-3500 rpm in a nano second. Now the throat plate insert for the blade, wow I didn't know they made metal that thin. It is really flimsy and will bend easy. Have to be careful whenever I have to change blades. That's the best you can do Bosch. Overall I am satisfied with the saw and would recommend the saw to others. Did I mention the portability of the saw.

Good but seriously defective in material

Great saw overall. But some materials in its construction are not fit for purpose. Solvent unexpectedly removed the scale markings so now must set rip width manually with a tape.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Best Portable Saw!!!
from Cosby, Tn
I watched a friend using this saw, he let me try it out, and I immediately was taken in on the saw. So I just had to get one! I love the weight, the power, all on-board extras, and the accuracy of the fence right out of the box. This is the best saw I've ever owned! It ripped through a piece of 130 year old barn wood that was heart pine with no effort!! I can take this saw anywhere I go and I love it.

Best table saw I've ever used for the money I spend for it.
Poor quality Fence
from Colorado, United States
This is my second saw. The first ones fence broke within a couple of uses. The fence has plastic guides that will crack if you are not careful. The overall quality is poor.
great little compact saw

I have owned this table saw for 2 years and it cuts smoothly and accurately. it is easy to carry and compact. The on board storage for the fence and gaurds is very nice
Great table saw

I needed a good table saw but I didn't have a lot of room, so the Bosch GTS 1031 was perfect for my needs. It is very well thought out, cuts beautifully. Very happy with my purchase. I will be using this saw for years and years.
Perfect for my shop
from Coumbus, OH
This saw replaced a smaller, old Craftsman that I have been using for over 25 years. This saw has plenty of power and features to keep me busy with projects for many years to come.
Very Portable & Accurate!

I have only had it a couple of months and have used it on several different job sites. With the matching stand I can setup and get to work quickly.
Great Saw Good design and features
from Banks, Oregon
Bought this saw and the table about a year ago. Hard decision vs the DeWalt. Very easy to carry and set up. Well thought out tool storage and blade change Only wish it had the rack and pinion adjustment on the fence like DeWalt
