Was moving into a new place and didn't want to buy a bunch of furniture, so decided to refinish some old stuff & make some. Was moving from overseas so basically had zero tools with me. This was one of the first tools I bought after a lot of research, and even though it's more expensive than many sanders you see, it is well worth the premium. Dust collection is excellent, in fact if I need to sand something around the house will reach for this often as it creates way less dust than using a piece of sandpaper. Variable speed, which I thought would be a gimmick, is actually very useful. As I didn't have many other tools I tended to 'abuse' this one by using it for all sorts of stuff it really isn't design for (rounding edges, smoothing curves, etc). Always worked great. It's worthwhile finding the hard baseplate if you can too, can then use this for more serious material removal. Carrying case holds tool + some sandpaper. The sandpaper in envelopes doesn't fit too well though, they should have made a little more room to hold extra sandpaper I think. Use by my girlfriend as well a lot, she found it pretty comfortable, and liked the variable speed as she was more comfortable with it set a little slower.

First random orbital sander. First sander I have purchased in 20 years. The unit is easy to use but it fills up the attached dust chamber very quickly. Snapping that cover off and on many times will probably shorten its life. I would rather hook up my shop vac to it. Unfortunately the adapter they provide simply slides on, with no 'catch' of any kind. The catch on the dust chamber is terrific, locks in very solid. That appears to be because there is a detent of some sort built into the inside of the dust chamber connection. When I use my shop vac, it slides off within seconds (no detent on the supplied adapter). It is unusable in this configuration. I called their support line (very nice people). They too had the same issue I did so they reported it to the 'engineers'. The engineers said theirs works fine so I guess nothing will be done to fix this. I was sent a new adapter and o-ring but its the same that came with the unit. I will look for another brand soon. If your sanding needs are minimal then this is a decent product. But if you sand a lot and you want to control dust in your shop, look elsewhere.

I got this as a christmas present from my wifeet and I love all of the feathers it has on it. The vacuum attachment option is awesome and I really like how it comes with a high quality filter for sanding clear coats/chemical epoxy etc.
Good value. Comfortable to hold.

Used it several times to both strip old finishes and sand new projects. So far I'm pleased with my purchase.

The best orbit sander I have used and I have used all major brands, this on is far above any others on the market.
Better than any sander I've ever owned.

I used my old orbital sander for 30 years. When the switch went bad i bought the Bosch random orbital sander. It's so much better that I won't bother fixing the old one. The ROS20VSK makes short work of the rough sanding on raw wood and puts on a super smooth surface for finishing. Sandpaper is easy to change and the best part is that the built-in dust collector really works. There's virtually no dust in the air when I've finished sanding.

Bought it 2 moth ago for my kitchen resurface project, had to sand it down to the wood, it was a dream to work with, take off the sanding disk and put on the new one I love it.

Bought this to use on woodworking and, with a vacuum, drywall sanding. Works like a champ. The only thing I have a problem with is the speed control. Not needed. Run it wfo

I am glad I bought this but I do wish it had an angle on it or an adapter for an angle

Great sander but it sucks because I can't even buy a replacement filter.
