Comments about Bosch Tools Pen Line Laser Level:
My previous laser level died on me and needed to replace my old one as I use this tool on a regular basis. I went online and found the Bosh tool with very positive reviews. My old leveler was torn down. Anyway I bought this level and indeed an excellent tool. When you hold the tool, you simply feel the quality. It is rugged and easy to use. The accessories to fix it to the wall work very well. The only negative is that the beam is wider close to the level and it gets narrower to the end of the beam. Not a big deal.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Just what i needed
I needed a laser level that was not required to be wall mount. This has a magnet and a magnet bracket. I needed to mount on my pool table and project to the wall about ten feet away. My table is flat, and i have a small piece of machined square steel. It came with batteries, good, but no instructions, and no attach tape. No problem. One red button for on. The magnet bracket can be taped to a smooth wall or tacked, 4 small holes. My walls are brick or textured drywall. Never will be used that way. Gives me a nice 4 foot red line. Just right for my project.

Makes a good impromptu level and fits well in a pocket or tool pouch. Has been used for a laser plumb and to check level on already installed items especially where space is limited.
Great tool for quick hanging
Laser works good for quick hanging of pictures/shelves around the house. Nice thing about it is the mounting bracket + laser is light enough that blue painters tape will hold it to drywall, so you can use it with minimal risk of surface damage. For bigger jobs (or where budget isn't as much of a concern) a cross or rotary laser on a tripod would work fine, but for quick jobs, this is hard to beat for the money. There are cheaper products, but they don't work as good as the Bosch.
