I have large hands, and this jigsaw accommodates them better than most. The grip is solid, comfortable and easy to handle. The only improvement would be, for me, an angled handle (lower at the back) for a more ergonomic grip. The saw performs better than most others that I've used, though how it holds up under extended use remains to be seen. Blade changes are easy and fast, a plus when doing production work. The blade stays true, for the most part, unless cutting curves into very thick stock. But slowing the feed helps prevent blade wander. Overall, after just a month of use, I'm decidedly happy with my purchase.

First of all I like Bosch. I have had many tools from them for years. but this jigsaw just falls short. We are an aerospace firm that makes custom interiors for large (A340 Airbus and Boeing up to 747) air craft. We do multimillion dollar jobs several times a year. We have been using these for about a year and are looking to replace them. The vertical cut ability is not always straight. When we are trimming at +/- 0.020" a perfectly vertical cut is mandatory. Also the distance from the bottom of the foot to the top of the stroke is too far. We are cutting composite panels that have a phenolic honeycomb core. So the top and bottom are the only real cutting areas as the phenolic is so thin that it offers no resistance. What happens is in panels thicker then 0.250" using the diamond grit blades we must use it has a tendency to pull the blade too high and damaging the bottom surface. Other than these issues which are a game changer for us. This saw is well insulated and almost vibration free. The blade changer may be the best in the industry. The build quality is very high and replacing parts has been great.

Good, Reliable Jig Saw
from Tyler, TX
Comments about Bosch Tools 7.0A Top-Handle Jig Saw:
I've used this saw a few times and getting more from it each time I use it. I do better at cutting an accurate line with a slower speed and less blade orbit and have also set the dial to reduce the max cutting speed. With the high speeds, I can cut through wood like it's butter. I really like the blade guide to keep the saw blade straight for accurate cuts. Also the lever in the front to quickly change blades. The saw has a blower which I use but it doesn't blow right at the cutting point but about 1/4" to 1/2" in front of the cutting point.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

third times a charm
from Colorado Springs, CO, United States
My first experience with a jigsaw was with a low end consumer model which rounded curves like a truck without power steering. The second was Definitely an upper end but was difficult to use. I finally decided to go with the best , and am happy I did. Plenty of power, to go through 1 1/2 inches of material, using the correct blade. The blower works well enough, but the tool must be at maximum for it to fully function. Control knobs are tight. I also purchased the jig for cutting 8 inch disks out of 3/4 inch oak. after a little practice, it worked as I had hoped. A very well made and functional tool.

Bought this Jig Saw and right out of the box, after geting the blade loaded, knew this was the most accurate and smooth Jig Saw Ive owned! I purchased this based on customer reviews, and the reviews were spot on accurate!!! Was a Bosch fan before this jig saw, and buying this saw, cemented the deal!! Forever a huge bosch tools fan!!

After having a couple less expensive jigsaws I finally bought one with power! It's a bit heavier, but it cuts through plywood without lacking the power needed. I should have bought this rears ago!
Powerful, with little vibration

It's well worth every penny, super long power cord, and the quick change blade feature is awesome. Would of gave 5 stars, but it needs a light, or a laser.

The perfect link of power and precision
from Anna, TX, United States
A friend had told me of the carpenter who came to the job with a Bosch jig saw. No table saw or circular saw was needed. Now that I have my own, I am a believer. If you only have room for one saw, for precision or power, or both, this is it. In my case it ranges from cutting metal roofing on the barn, to wooden hangers for tack and other gear. Great product!
