Works well but needs improvement
from Chicago, IL, United States
I've been wearing the jacket for about a month so far in Chicago's bitter cold January. You can definitely feel a difference. I expected heating zones in the arms instead of just the chest and back. My Gerbings jacket liner keeps my arms warm. I'm 6'-3" 180 lbs and the extra large fits well after cinching the bottom. The button controller works easily with gloves on but its in a terrible location. I think they wanted it to be in a visible location next to their logo on the chest. Seeing if it is on is a real challenge with the high collar and with my motorcycle helmet on it was impossible. Being that this is a work jacket, i see big problems with the zipper to come. It's too dainty. It might work well for an ipad case but not a work jacket. Happy with the jacket overall but needs done improvement.

Bad Zipper ?
from Des Plaines, IL, United States
I have had this jacket about a month and today I got in my truck to go and get a sandwich and came back. When I went to get out of my truck I noticed that the zipper split half way up from the bottom of the jacket. I don't know if the bottom of the zipper came out or why this happened. After that I used it for shoveling snow for about an 1 1\2 and it was OK. I am 240 lb. so I bought an XL so that should have been big enough. You can't buy it to big otherwise it won't be tight enough so the heat works. We will see what happens when I drive in my truck again. As far as the heat goes it is nothing spectacular. The back works good but the front not so much, maybe because it to big although it doesn't sound like it because the zipper split ! When you are driving inside the car and it warms up you have to turn the heat down because your back feels like it is going to burn up. One battery only last between 1 1\2 and 2 hrs. on high. I will try to update if I have any more problems.

The heating is cool and it look great. I just find that the jacket doesn't breath. Im not sure if this is a con but no matter what I seem to sweat in it. Doesnt make it comfortable for long term use.

I have many Bosch 12 volt tools and many batteries, so I wanted the Bosch Jacket. The Jacket feels very comfortable and the heat feels nice on back and chest. I like the ability to plug in a phone or other usb device to charge if you have the jacket on or not. Time will tell if it will hold up like my Carhart jackets working as an electrician in the field.
Not for really cold weather
from Mamaroneck New York
At 50 degrees with the jacket on high it keeps me warm. Under 50 I'm cold. Not at all what I expected.
from Oswego, NY, United States
I've lived in Oswego, NY for most of my life. This city is famous for its cold and snowy winters. This jacket has everything I've ever worn beaten HANDS DOWN! I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone that has to face the cold on a regular basis.
Love my jacket but
from REGINA Sask. Canada
Jacket it's great I have bought eight of them, for my employees. First downfall is cleaning of the jackets I am an owner of a cabinet shop here in Regina Canada, within the first month I had issues with 3 battery's , and one battery converter not sure what it's called it transfers the power for the battery to the coat, I think that it would be really nice to put a small LED light in the end of this converter so that the jacket could still have a flashlight in its pocket since we got to carry a big bulky battery
Helps a lot in cold working situations
from Gallarate, VA, Italy
I have been waiting for this item almost two months, i.e. December and January,as it was not available until the end of January in my Country, Italy. I have been using it since and I am very happy with its warm feeling (sometimes even too warm!) when I am working in my workshop and heating is not sufficient and/or I need to spare some energy.which is terribly expensive in this Country.. 1200 mA/h batteries are sufficient, but do not last more than a couple of hours even at a minimum setting. I had to buy two 2,o A/h batteries and hence the situation has improved very much. Altogether is a very useful item and, though I have no use for it outside my workshop, I am sure it will help a lot people who work under low temperatures. I would for sure recommend this very efficient vest .
