Whoever designed this had a passion for audio, a passion for function, and a passion for form - because the Shape excels in all of these areas. I received one of these free during a promotional period when I purchased my Samsung TV. It was a great move on Samsung's part because here I am one year later purchasing another one. (or my first one, depending upon how you look at it) Why the year wait to purchase another if I was so satisfied? These things are quite expensive, after all! :) The audio quality is excellent, and I have high expectations from audio systems. The low end frequency response is quite impressive for a 4 inch woofer (35HZ) and you can safely play the shape at high volumes without distortion. The Samsung Multiroom Audio App is a must (it's free to download) and this is where you begin to realize how versatile this system is. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could stream Pandora and play my Amazon music collection directly through the Samsung Multiroom app using my Wi-Fi connection. This may not sound like much at first glance because one could launch each app individually and connect via bluetooth.. but that's just it - The Samsung Multiroom app is a central location to play a multitude of services and connected via Wi-Fi so I'm free to roam the house/yard with no range restriction. Here are a list of the services that are supported (so far, could be more in the future) through the Multi room app: TuneIn Radio Amazon Music Milk Music Pandora Spotify 8tracks iHeartRadio Rdio Murfie Rhapsody Another fun fact: There is also a built in alarm feature! You can configure the time, date, the audio source, and (in the case of owning multiple Shapes) the Shape you want to set the alarm to. Brilliant indeed. The only slight complaint I have is that it seems you can only set 3 favorite stations to the hard button on the Shape itself. It would be nice if it would allow one to configure more. I would also like to be able to override the feature where the Shape auto switches to mono output when the Shape is positioned vertically. Oh... and one last thing.. for those that may think the m7 is too large - they do sell an m5 that has a smaller foot print.

In a tiny apartment, this thing takes up too much real estate, vertically or horizontally. Is also too boomy, with woefully inadequate equalizer controls, to listen at any but minimal levels. If one does manage to get the app updated, it has little function beyond audio source selection. Expensive and disappointing.

Comments about Hanover Samsung Shape M7 Black Wireless Audio Speaker:
Awesome sound quality. I use the speaker on my deck and it just feels the space with the volume at less than half.

Unlike anyou other Bluetooth speaker I've every used.
I like the fact that while playing music front my phone on the speak, I can recieve and make calls. I can watch youtube videos on the same phone and it will not interfere with the music on the M7. This is a smart speak.

Comments about Samsung Shape M7 Black Wireless Audio Speaker:
This is a clear alternative to the Sonos though not quite as flexible. Remains to be seen if Samsung remains committed to this product.

These speakers sound great either by themselves or paired up in stereo. The android app is a little slow when started up and scrolling through your PC music library on the app is stop and go, although it has gotten better with the update. One service I wish Samsung would add is Google Play Music. Sonos has it, so Samsung should be able to as well. Presently I have to pair up via bluetooth to use Google Play Music, and this does work, however you can only play through 1 speaker and the bluetooth volume is substantially lower than the volumes you can get when playing music via wi-fi streaming. Overall I love these speakers (1 have 5 M7's, and have given another 2 M7's as gifts).

About Me Tech Savvy
It was difficult to understand all the ways this speaker can be used. But in the end - the sound quality is amazing! so it is worththe effort!

This speaker has amazing sound. Like it so much, I purchased 4 for them. It is a little difficult to setup them up the first time using the Samsung apps (no other choice), not sure how I got them to connect, they did finally. Like the pairing features and ability to play music off the internet. Be careful, I brought these to play with my SAMSUNG UH55 smart TV - only to find out you must by the latest most expensive UH55 smart tv for them to be paired with.
Great item in a once dominated market segment.

Overall a fantastic piece of hardware. I wanted multiple bluetooth capable speakers to be placed wherever i chose and let me tell you; I use the wifi capabilities more than Bt. I am just setting up my music upgrades and I really enjoy hearing the speaker in the kitchen , being backed-up by the other (2 of 2) speaker in the living room. It adds depth and soul to the acoustical properties of all possible conditions. I have only begun to see the tip of the iceberg in capabilities. My suggestion is to buy 2 of the m7's, hook them up, and start playing around. You will see that there are almost limitless possibilities of how to move music from one location to another. Last Note! 1 feature that I did not read about this clearly...as follows: I can have the Samsung "Multi Room" app up and running and my wife can bring up her session of the Samsung multi room and her display (gui) looks like it copied my last known config and BouYah! She's in and playing with the music.
