Was an Ipad user for years. But, it always seemed as just a portable consumption device, used to just consume and read things. When I got my Samsung Note Pro 12.2, I really had something that I could be productive with. This device along with the LectureNotes application was a life changer. I can select and capture notes from Kindle books and annotate them with handwritten notes. I can proofread papers that my kids wrote, annotate with handwritten notes and share with them with unlimited ways. I have been out of college for years, but this tablet would have been killer in college to take notes with. I also tried the Surface Pro and it is a nice device and is very productive. But, has no applications and especially does not have LectureNotes. You also have to constantly switch between the native tablet OS and the Windows OS. With the Samsung Note Pro 12.2, you stay within one OS with plenty of applications. Don't waste your money on any other tablet, this is the real deal!

have nothing but great expectation this was a birthday gift from my wife soon as I turned it on first thing I notice was the flickering on the screen. Nothing hurts more than having a brand new product not working properly. The flickering appears when the tablet is around 50 percent and below.. there were other minor bugs specially with the new Android lollipop update I bought the Logitech keyboard Bluetooth keyboard to accompany my tablet. My tablet connects to the keyboard but none of the keys work. I did some research and apparently it's a common problem with this new lollipop update. Very disappointing especially when my other pics for tablets we're going to be iPad air and surface pro 3 I know those other brands would not have bugs like this. I will contact Samsung about this issue and will try to get a replacement.

The perfect tablet for me. Samsung 12.2 Pro
from San Antonio, TX, USA
The perfect tablet for me. Samsung 12.2 Pro, I have owned 6 different tablets so far and I believe I found my last for quite a while. The screen is bright, colors are excellent. The ability to do two programs at one time on the screen is excellent. I use it when I go TDY for the government all over the world every month . It allows me to do numerous things at one time saving the taxpayers money. Is far better than all the tablets have used previously from four different Companies.
so far I have Happy with the performance of this tablet. Once the Bluetooth issue is updated, I will be completely satisfied.
The graphics are great the S Pen is phenomenal and the connection speed is the best

Bought product primarily for picture quality and was not displeased. Many programs allow this tablet to function equal to most lap tops.

Perfect for School
I bought this tablet to use it for school note taking. I'm an undergraduate Physics major and Math minor, so I have a lot of technical notes to take. With the Note Pro 12.2, handwriting fidelity is very high. The built in features let me take images from books (I try to get all of my books via Kindle or something like so I have them on my tablet; it's the perfect textbook reading size) or from posted lecture notes. Also, using an app like Lecture Notes lets me take notes in different colours, add in shapes, etc. It's been a huge boon over traditional, pencil and paper notes. For my personal usage, this tablet is perfect. Just the pen without the digitizer wouldn't be good enough, and any smaller wouldn't work as well for notes and textbooks. If you're using it for something other than school or work, though, you may find it a bit large and awkward. Also, the unit is kind of creaky in hand and doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the build quality. The S-Pen is also a little small and doesn't feel like a traditional pen, but I think it's something you get used to (I considered a Bamboo pen, but the included S-Pen is growing on me and I haven't had issues using it for a couple of hours at a stretch). All in all, I love it for what I use it for. If you're looking for a tablet for consumption of media, like Netflix, internet browsing, etc., this may be too big for you and the S-Pen functionality can be found on other tablets with less fidelity (if you don't need it for notes). If you're looking for a professional tablet with really great writing fidelity for notes, art, technical schematics, or the like, this thing is awesome. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth the money. I also tried out a Surface Pro 3 and felt the writing was better on the Note Pro 12.2, for what it's worth.
When used with accessories, like a laptop
from Silicon Valley, California
I use a keyboard, a 128 GB sd card, and a mouse. Now that Microsoft offers Android compatible office products, I am able to use this tablet like a laptop. When tethered to a Samsung Galaxy phone, and with my own cloud server, I can work anywhere I want. Great for freedom. However, one needs to shop to find the best deals for that combo to beat some of the 2 in 1's now being promoted at great value.
Great tablet to view media and take notes
from Pennsylvania, USA
i brought this tablet a year back and I think still this is the best tablet in the market. Big size good to view photos and movies. Multitasking is so easy. Great pen for handwritten notes and comments. Extremely thin and clean frame, looks expensive in hand and great visuals.
As a web developer I need many types of mobile devices to do my best work; so I get exposed to a plethora of devices. This is one of the nicest tablets I've seen and used so far. The stylus is great for small links on sites that have small print. It's also great for drawing and taking notes. The OS combined with the hardware give a super fast experience. I wait for nothing when using this tablet! I read a lot of manuals and "boring science digest" stuff and this tablet combined with the Kindle app works well together. You can adjust the settings to be very comfortable almost any readers’ eyes. Also, the stylus works with the off screen back button and select button. This is not the case with my Note II cell phone and it drives me nuts. But Samsung got it right on the tablet. So far the only thing I would change is the mechanical buttons. I think they should all be on the touch screen. Touch screen buttons don't wear out and mechanical buttons have a potential to go bad. (Not that I've had any go bad) I just think that from an engineering perspective a touch screen location is better.
