Shopping high-end appliances nowadays is like buying a car; many great products to choose from,- interspersed with cheaper models that cut corners and use inferior components to compete with the other guys plastic-fantastic budget offering. I had been intending to replace a competitors 20 cu ft refridgerator for quite some time,- referring to it as a poorly designed small toy that had me playing musical chairs, taking out five items to reach one behind them. I had been considering another Korean manufacturers competing product of comparable size to the one I ended up purchasing, but its version of what Samsung calls Showcase access door was not of the same quality of design and engineering as Samsungs' showcase door. I also considered a significantly lower priced similar Samsung stainless model that had the Showcase door feature, but did not have the second custom cooling drawer,- and I really liked the aesthetic appearance of the black stainless finish of the model that I ended up buying. I am so glad I bought this one. It is a tech marvel for its design features that I prefer over all others I carefully studied prior to selecting this beauty. Simplicity of controls, custom cooling drawer with stainless metal plate that holds the cold well, as does the showcase door metal plate, and the smooth, quiet compressor that doesn't need to continuously cycle on and off to maintain precise temps in freezer and all cooling zones. This model seems to have the best of everything Samsung has engineered for its top of the line refrigerators. Spacious and well organized adjustability of shelves make this a pleasure to stock with groceries (which can now be done monthly instead of weekly). Between purchasing bulk family packages of frozen meat and significant savings on electrical expenses,- this unit will have paid for itself in 1 1/2 to 2 years. An expensive appliance, yes,- but you do get what you paid for.

I waited to buy this refrigerator. It originally was not available in counter depth. When I discovered that it was in April 2016, I immediately purchased it. I don't have a great need for a large freezer, so the flex option to extend the refrigeration space was the key selling point, along with the ample shelf space it provides. However, I have one of the models that constantly gurgles and bubbles. Not just a little, but most of the time! It is down right annoying as my family room adjoins my kitchen which makes it impossible to escape the gurgling and bubbling sounds. It literally sounds like I have an aquarium in my kitchen. Yes, the manual says that some sounds are normal, REALLY!! I have a friend who has the same refrigerator without the same problem. I've read countless reviews about consumers who own the same refrigerator with most being happy with their purchase but enough who have, "The Sound Problem" like I do, to ask the question of Samsung, "Why hasn't the problem been solved. It my be that only 1 in 10 have the gurgling/bubbling problem, but aren't all purchaser's of this product entitled to the same quality product?!

Comments about Samsung White Bottom Freezer Refrigerator:
I hate my microwave! You can not use the kitchen timer while running the microwave and you can not run the microwave while using the timer! I've owned several other brands of microwaves and NEVER had that problem before. The "Melt" and "Soften" programs do not work properly. The soften doesn't soften and the melt explodes the butter all over the inside of the microwave. The "buttons" on the control pad are so hard to push that it takes a few attempts. It breaks my heart that this microwave is so awful. I really thought it would be as wonderful as my Samsung televisions are.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

New French door refrigerator
We are very pleased with our brand new Samsung French door 'fridge. There is wonderful storage space both in the 'fridge & freezer. The design of shelves & door compartments is well thought out. Looking forward to many years with this new appliance,
Worst Ice dispenser ever
I make protein shakes everyday and use crushed ice. I end up with more ice on the floor then in cup. It needs some thing around Ice dispenser to keep ice from flying out the side. The only one that likes it is my dog because she gets to eat all the ice on the floor.
Great look! Great price!

The microwave fit perfect and was super easy to install. Did have to make some changes to the motor due to not having an exhaust but instructions were included and was able to modify it to fit my needs. Quick and easy change. Have ample space for cooking and cooks perfectly.

Overall good but compressor/fan is loud. Lots of space
Love the middle drawer !
We love the layout and the versatility of the drawer and the doors. Could be a little more adjustable on the shelves.
This microwave has everything I need.
In looking for a new over the stove microwave, the Samsung had the best options at the best price.
this product has everything needed
i just bought this microwave so i do not have a lot of input. i will say i would like to have had a manual included so that i could learn how to use the features without having to google it. you really have to push hard on the button areas to get a response. the metal shelf placement does not allow enough room for a coffee cup on top of it or below it so we had to remove it, bummer. the vent noise is okay unless you use it on the highest level. i do like the brightness of the lights for cooking on the back burners and i like the eco option. it looks good and hopefully will stand the test of time.
Not bad...but not great
First, I have to state: this is a great looking microwave. The stainless finish gives a kitchen that "Food Network" look. I purchased this microwave to replace one from 1993 of a much lower wattage. After removing the old microwave, drilling holes (per included template), & getting the new one installed, I noticed the shrouding / outer cover of the new microwave is not stiff enough. Let me explain: The outside of the 1993 microwave was steel. The top bolts simply pulled the microwave up flush with the cabinet & boom, you were done. The new Samsung is made out of something much more supple than the steel & there appears to be no reinforcement under the outer cover. Tightening the top bolts pulls the microwave cover up to the cabinet, but since the material is not stiff enough, it leaves a gap in the middle (between the two top bolts. see photo.). To some, this is not a big deal & not "that" noticeable, however if you're like me with old cabinets that are a bit shallow, you can see the "rippled" area at the front of the microwave. Operation: The microwave works well at cooking, the popcorn button appears to be very accurate with Orville Reddenbocker's, & we have used the 'melt - soften' feature quite a bit. Downsides: IF YOU ARE COOKING AND ATTEMPTING TO USE THE VENT - the microwave will automatically adjust your vent to the lowest speed. Again, to some this may not be a big deal. For our family, however, we often cook on the stove (with the vent on high) and boil water in the microwave to make sweet tea. This automatic vent speed change is not ideal, especially when we are cooking / boiling and need the vent on high. YOU CANNOT USE THE TIMER AND COOK AT THE SAME TIME. This was a shock, as our 1993 microwave was able to handle this. We would often microwave leftovers & use the microwave timer to time something else. Overall, the new Samsung microwave has functioned well for the 2 - 3 weeks we've had it. I will update if something else crops up. Additional Note on install: I installed this microwave twice to double-check my template holes & the placement of the rear bracket, convinced I was doing something wrong. However, some relatives of ours had a higher-priced Samsung microwave professionally installed...and it had the uneven appearance also. It was just not as noticeable on the deeper cabinets.
