Comments about Bosch Tools 18V 1/2" Hammer Drill/Driver:
Purchased the "bare tool" option because I have many other BOSCH products. I popped in a fresh battery, from one of my other Bosch tools, just to see how well designed this tool was and boy was I impressed. I went through an 8' slab of concrete with no problem. I couldn't believe how fast it went through it. The drill is light with the strength of a heavy duty model.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Outstanding battery operating temperature range
from Foxboro, MA, United States
Used with a 5" ice augur over two winters of ice fishing at temperatures down to +/- 20 deg. F. Drilled over 30 holes through ice up to 16" thick on one charge. Ergonomically suited for this severe application.

Bought this drill a month ago. Battery seems good, time will tell. Chuck doesn't drop bits, works great. Drill packs a punch. Lots of power.

I bought this drill the other day and it's been great so far. Great trigger feel, powerful, and comfortable.

I have had this drill for a couple of weeks now, it seems to be very durable, light weight and all round good drill. I do wish it had a bit holder I would recommend this drill
Great Drill light,fast ...
Great Drill light, fast charge durable and very tough at work
Lots of power in a small package, but not for precision work
This drill has many great features - it's light, powerful, the batteries last forever, ergonomic, and has a very useful light. Te only complaint I have is that the chuck wobbles - with a 6" screwdriver bit, the tip of the bit draws a circle about 1/4" in diameter. This doesn't pose much of an issue when drilling holes in walls, but makes it more difficult to stay on target in metal, and is likely to cause you to strip out screw heads when using long screwdriver bits. This issue does not seem to be isolated to my drill - a display model in the store where I purchased it had a similar wobble, and I've seen other users complain about the same problem online. However, if you don't care about the wobble, it's a great tool and with the 2 batteries, a great deal.
Alot of great features and built very rugged
from New Jersey
Excellent Drill & Hammer Drill, well balanced and the lithium batteries hold a charge for a long time. It has a quick charger and the built in work light is a great feature in dark places like under cabinets and low lighted areas. Just wish it had the driver bit holder on the drill so I dont loose it.
