Great tool for most jobs

Comments about Bosch Tools 18V Cordless Hammer Drill/Driver:
This tool is great when you live in a concrete house and are constantly hanging stuff on walls. Not having to drag out a 1/2" corded hammer drill for small jobs is great!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great performance, using it everywhere around the house including concrete and shed building. Only problem is the chuck which sometimes loosens up. But overall a great product and build quality. I got a friend to buy the brute version and the chuck is built like tank.
Very efficient for a combo hammer drill/ driver.

I think it works great for what I need it to do, however I have currently had problems with the key-less chuck loosening during moderate use and the driver bit falling out and getting lost. Batteries will keep charge until spare is fully recharged so I have no problem using it all day everyday without stopping... Just don't let it sit in the hot sun all day.

Great Lightweight Hammer Drill
from Rapid City, SD
I haven't found anything I don't like about this drill yet. I have used it with hole saw blades and standard drill bits. It has plenty of power and great batteries. The charger will charge the second battery almost before you can use up the other one.
Nice little drill for wide variety of uses.
I've just purchased this drill and so far, it's been perfect for the few light jobs I've tried so far (mostly test applications to get a feel for it). The 2 lithium batteries come mostly charged, so drill can be used right out of the case (I charged both first and they took about 30 minutes as promised). The drill is light and well balanced and feels solid; the LED light is a nice addition from my old B&D drill. I'm left handed, so the only issue I might have is my left index finger brushes against the direction button when I pull the power trigger and sometimes pushes it to the middle (locked) position. Bit holder in back is OK although magnetic side holder would be handier. Chuck seems well built and easy to load bits with nice ratcheting feature as it tightens onto the bit. Haven't tried the hammer featue yet although expect it will do for my occasional needs. Mostly hope the lithium batteries hold their charge as promised as it seems much of my frustration with my old drill (12 V nicad) was they were always flat when I needed a portable drill. Overall, I think I'm going to enjoys this drill for many years.
