As we already have two LG 6x series blu-ray players and been very pleased with them, I opted to purchase a BP350 as a third unit for occasional use. I wasn't in the market for 3D support (never used it on the other players) but DLNA support was important as I use this as much (if not more) than physical discs. To be honest I didn't realise until after purchase that the 350 is WiFi only (no wired ethernet port which I'd have preferred to use). My fault entirely for not checking the specs closely One disappointment was that I couldn't find the unit's WiFi MAC address anywhere (no label on the unit, not displayed in the settings when first switched on). I had to temporarily disable MAC filtering on my router to allow the unit to connect. Only after connection was achieved was the MAC shown in the settings and I was then able to add it to the router's white-list. Blu-Ray and DVD playback seem excellent as I'd expected. Video streaming over DLNA works but for some reason this unit refuses to list certain file types that my other older players will happily open and play. I've yet to investigate exactly which types are a problem. Also I have to say video streaming over WiFi just isn't as reliable as over wired ethernet. Bottom line for me is it's good for what it is but I probably should have bought a higher spec player to match my others.

I purchased the lg BP550 Blu-Ray Player and I regret spending the Money. The player keeps LOCKING up to where you can only click on setup. It is connected to the internet but keeps asking for updates then fails to load the updates. It will not take manual updates from a flash drive. It is nothing more than a energy using paper weight.

Less then a year old
Comments about LG 3D Capable Blu-Ray Disc Player With Smart TV:
I bought this product last summer due to our old player dying. Within the first couple months it started showing huge lag and trouble staying connected to the internet. There is nothing wrong with my internet when using the cell or computer-it is the blu ray player. There have been numerous times the interface lags tremendously, trying to load a show and the loading circle stuck on 99% or 1%, or shows cutting off. All where I have to restart the player at least once to get working again. I regret not keeping a receipt and looking at reviews for this product before buying. Not happy at all with this product.

I have two of these blu-ray players, with wi-fi capability to use premium channels. I thought it was just one because it was older, however the new one is doing the same thing. They will stop loading the premium channel images and info. you have to go back, then select the item again then it may display. I have tried powering it off on, even unplugging power completely. But they both new and old blu-rays still do the same thing. Not locking up, just not fully loading menus and images. Like a possible not enough memory. I don't think I will take a chance on buying another LG Blu-ray Player. Two (2) of my LG TV's have premium channels, though one has no HULU. They do not hesitate to load images, also tested with the external Blue-ray players. The problem follows the Blue-ray players. I use the players on an LG TV without wi-fi and premium channels, the problem happens. On the LG TV without HULU but the other premium channels, same issue.
suggestion for SmartShare software
It would be nice if SmartShare had a 'darker' theme. The current theme is almost white, or a pale pink. When playing music from a computer or whatever, the SmartShare screen must be on the monitor the whole time. At night, the almost white, full screen SmartShare view is way too bright and lights up the whole room. Maybe a dark screen saver would work, or a dark theme of some kind? But as it is now, if I want to have some music on in the evenings, I have to look at that bright, full screen, filling up the TV, lighting up the room. If I want to play an album, or a symphony, or whatever, something of some length, that bright white-ish, almost pink, full screen glare is really too much.
Terrible wifi. Terrible remote
Set up is painful, it has to be the slowest and most dimwitted menu I've ever come across. Wifi doesn't work ever (Tell a lie it's connected once) it'll either ask to put my password in and then not connect or just not find any routers at all (No option to hardwire either) A quick internet search shows this to be a very common fault, if this is an insight to what other LG products are like then im never buying anything of theirs again. I'd give no stars if it was possible

While we haven't yet explored all the many features of this litte box, it did pair nicely with our wifi, and upscaled DVD's very well. Streaming, at least from Amazon Prime, is seamless.

Plays disks great but streaming services suck. I'm one room away from my router and it drops the internet connection constantly forcing me to unplug it. It's basically useless as a streaming device. Wish I had returned it!
Does the Job very well.
