Comments about Bosch Tools 18V EC Brushless Socket Ready Impact With 1/4" Hex And 1/2" Square Drive Kit:
Had this still for about a year now and it's definitely the best drill I have ever owned. I've been a Bosch man for years this being my third impact. Loved them all but this is the nicest of course.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought this tool half ...
I bought this tool half year ago and used it on a recent closet project and it never let me down... The battery is powerful, perfect handling balance.
A lot of power for the size
from Twinsburg, OH, United States
I have owned this for about 8 months now and I love it. While it can be noisy when breaking loose tight bolts, it is very powerful - I use it to break the lug nuts loose on the cars. Battery life seems good as well. I highly recommend it, money well spent.
Feels very solid

Build quality is fantastic, it feels so sold. Use 4amp batteries to get the most from it and you will never regret this gun. However, I wanted to write this review just to point out one flaw. A rather big one. Standard bit holders (the ones that accept various 1" bits) do not fit in this gun (power groove or not). The 1/4" chuck on this is too deep, so the power groove isnt able to reach the back to become locked in. I used the supplied bit holder on a job and it just became jammed in and I had to use a vice to pull it out. Luckily I found a bit holder that has an extra long portion of the hex shank so that the powergroove can lock/unlock. It will reiterate that it is very surprising that this was put into production like this, even more surprising is that the standard bit holder that comes with the drill/driver kit doesn't even fit all the way into the impact gun.
Powerful and long-lasting

This is a very well-designed tool. Good features, nice balance, and sensible ergonomics. The brushless motor is powerful and battery lasts quite a long time before requiring a recharge. You will not be disappointed with this tool!
Amazing Power, but drains batteries.

I've been using this as an impact wrench for 6 months now, mostly working on my motorbike. For freeing up seized bolts this tool is amazing, little spray of lube and off anything comes. I love the case this comes with, I'm slowly replacing all my old tools just so I can use these cases they are that good! The tool in hand feels awesome, even with gloves all the controls are accessible and easy to manipulate. Very little impact is transferred into the grip, so driving bolts for half an hour doesn't make your whole arm feel like jello. Two things I don't like; The amount of noise this thing produces is also amazing, and even the fat batteries dont last very long, sometimes I drain it even before I can charge my second pack!
as expected good solid quality

I've had this product for several weeks now and use it almost daily. It is very strong. Driving 3" screws into wood and even self drilling screws into metal. No issues. I had a scare with it a couple of days ago. It fell off the top of my 6' ladder on the concrete. With the larger battery on it. I just new it was broke or cracked. Result - was a small scuff on the back upper side. No cracks, No real damage. I was amazed. Pros - Strong, heavy duty, high quality & battery life is superb. Cons - The plastic case it came with is flimsy, just ok and the 3 speed switch should be at your finger tip above the trigger somehow. For one hand operations.
best impacter that i've used

great product, I had the brushed bosch impacter previously and the new brushless really shines. very light and ergonomic. great power and the 1/2 socket feature is great.

I used this tool for the first time, and it is FAR superior to your other impactor, or anyone else for that matter. Having both options with drives is a great idea! I did use it to loosen the blade on my lawnmower, so it does have some breaking torque. Don't think I would use on a tire, though.
