Comments about Sony Black Wireless Subwoofer BRAVIA Speaker:
This subwoffer when used as recommended with the new sony HD is a great combination. Only Sony has dececnt treble speakers in their thin HD TVs. With the addition of this subwoffer you have a full range of sound without the "surroud sound" external systems that I don't care for. The subwoffer and 50" Sony bravia (just released this summer) came in at about $1,100.00 which is better than the similar Sony I almost bought which was $1,800 without the subwoffer. Thankful for ABT to have the subwoffer. The big boxes and manufacturer did not have any available. Will definalty put ABT on my bookmarks for the future.

Not a "miracle worker"...
About Me Enthusiast
I hoped that this subwoofer would augment the Sony KDL50W800B LED television's (rather thin-sounding) onboard speakers. As expected, the SWFBR100 sub was a snap to set up and functioned seamlessly with my Sony Bravia television. Adjustment of the SWFBR100 was very easy through the Sony Bravia's on-screen menus. Unfortunately, the SWFBR100 sub didn't provide the full sound I was hoping for with my television's tiny speakers. I assume the SWFBR100 will mesh more effectively with the larger Bravia televisions due to their larger onboard speakers. This sub performs like a small subwoofer should; it provides a reasonable amount of very low frequencies. Be advised - this sub won't shake your walls (it's simply too small/low-powered). Unfortunately my Bravia television needs more mid-bass than the SWFBR100 can provide.
Needs more control
from Pasadena, CA
The problem with this Sub is that the TV controls everything. This means that there is only so much controllability and there are times where I wish I could turn the sub volume up louder even though it's on max on the TV sub control. That means that depending on your source it will be very low. For instance on TV programs I have very little bass but if I put music on through my apple TV it sounds great. Maybe If I could control things more through the cable box?
