Bought mine today. I was replacing the older 6000 V2 (mouse was disintegrating). I am very happy with the keyboard, mouse, and even the detached keypad (it's like a separate calculator on your desk that you can slide away when not in use). The angle of the new keyboard is slightly different than the 6000, but I am getting used to it. I think it will eventually be more comfortable than the 6000 based on its feel. The quality and workmanship are excellent. Very classy looking device. I initally had some trouble getting the USB dongle to work with my IO Gear KVM, but after disabling the "mouse emulation" mode and plugging the dongle into the "Mouse" port of the KVM, it works perfectly, even using Remote Desktop. All in all, I would happily recommend this keyboard to others.

I want to say this is the best keyboard ever. I almost would. I had the Ergonomic 4000 and switched to this because of the smaller profile. I was so happy at first. Better keys. Magnetic attachments. The numpad can be pushed out of the way when not in use. I would have rated it five stars. Except the numpad completely ruins it. The numpad itself is fine. Does the job, and when not needed is out of the way. It's the battery. The numpad apparently never goes to sleep and burns the battery to dead in a month or less. The first time I was given a whole new keyboard because the numpad was dead (great service in that) But I suspected the battery. The next time I bought a new battery for it, and low and behold everything works. If Microsoft could figure out how to properly put the numpad to sleep so the battery would last (or maybe they're just using a cheap battery and should switch away) then this would be a 6 star (yes 6) review. If you absolutely don't ever need a numpad, it's a 5 star I'd recommend. If you need a numpad, stay away. I'll say I'd recommend the product... but tentatively.

Very comfortable keyboard.

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse:

Love the keyboard, the mouse is too tall, have to use a mouse pad with a wrist pad so I can use it without putting stress my wrist. The dongle runs everything, it can easily get broken when you use it in a laptop, as mine did, now the keyboard, keypad and mouse are useless. There is no replacement!!

Beautifully made, keys true, ergonomics excellent

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse:

I've been using the Microsoft ergonomic line of keyboards since they came out--in 1994. Yes, 20 years. They've always been well made, but this latest iteration is by far the best. The rise in the front, if you choose to use it (and I recommend it because of the ergonomic angle it places your wrists in) snap on with a satisfying magnetic click. Yes, magnets. Nice design element. The form factor is small but standard size spacing between the keys. I don't have a use for the numeric keypad, which is separate, so unfortunately it sits in my drawer--for me, a waste. The mouse is as good as the keyboard--angled so as to reduce strain on the wrist (I'm a retired chiropractor who used to teach ergonomics, so I pay attention to such design) and a pleasure to use. The battery cover clicks on with a magnet as well. The batteries last a very long time. I'm buying another for someone else in my office.

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse:

I love the mouse and keyboard very much, however when my computer at work upgraded the Windows 10---- It would not work at all. It keeps kicking me out of my programs. We even bought this one thinking it was a newer version but it still would not work either.... User be ware of what version you intend on using with this keyboard set...... You would think they would work together, after all they are both MicroSoft products....

Great Product but with a few notes

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse:

I replaced my 4000 keyboard with his model and am thrilled. The keyboard angles are much better and the function keys are easier to use (I use them a lot for business). There are 2 items which I wish I could fix. 1 - I wish the keypad was connected like on the 4000, it slides around annoying. 2 - The mouse is huge (height) - I have frequently move my hand over in a hurry and not had it high enough and sent the mouse sliding across my desk. I have no idea why it is so large. The keyboard angles and adjustments are spot on.

Amazing, but not for laptop use

By

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse:

In short , ToBuyOrNotToBuy = (desktopUse) ? "Must Buy" : "Do Not Buy"; I have severe pain in my wrist and this mouse helped a lot. Most comfortable mouse I have used so far. But the transceiver is huge and flimsy. It sticks out of laptops and breaks with ease and cannot be replaced. Will buy 2 instantly if it is updated to Bluetooth or something like an unifying receiver.

Great for the last two years

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse:

I've used this keyboard for two years and I haven't had an issue yet. The battery issue with the numerical keypad came up once after around a year, I simply replaced the battery and not an issue again. The pad your hands lie on is very comfortable, but does show wear after heavy use. I'm not so worried about this since it's my keyboard not my trophy. Sometimes the num pad is next to the keyboard, sometimes I move it out of the way. I use it with a KVM for my mac and my PC, works without any issue. I will say this, I don't use the mouse. Not because it won't work but because I prefer my existing trackball.

Fn key and ctrl key not working

By

from Undisclosed

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse:

I buy this keyboard to test out with the window (mac user so far), try both window 10 and window 7. The function key not working even turn to Fn mode, both ctrl key not working. Updates driver/software no use, the soft keyboard on screen not showing the keyboard layout correctly, nor does it show ctrl key is press. Give up on the product on first day. Piece of joke for me

Best KEYBOARD... the numpad, different story

By

from Undisclosed

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse:

I have to breakdown the review into the 3 different parts; the keyboard, the number pad and the mouse. KEYBOARD: 4.5/5 I've had this keyboard for about a year, and it is the most comfortable keyboard that I've ever typed in. the magnetic height adjustment is great, easy to clean and easy to remove and re-attach. the keys are spaced out perfectly. You don't need much force for them to press down and space bar is also really easy to press. This has completely eliminated wrist pain I used to have due to typing all day long. I wish the media controls like volume/play/pause were separate like in the wired version. It would make the F keys more useful. I do a lot of coding and the F keys are very useful for that, but i don't like that i have to switch the FN switch just to be able to use the media controls. NUMBER PAD: 3/5 When it works, its great. The problem is the battery, it dies in about a month. MOUSE: The mouse is ok, it take a lil getting used to. I prefer my wireless trackball mouse. NOTE TO MICROSOFT: PLEASE, create a version of this keyboard with separate media buttons and/or back lit keys. I've looked and there is not a single ergonomic wireless keyboard that has back-lit keys. Even a wired version of this keyboard with back-lit keys. It would be a home run. I would even pre order it. I love this design.
