Comments about BellO Chocolate A/V Wood TV Cabinet:
The design for real world components is lacking. My mid-level av receiver would only fit in the middle shelf. The top half of the middle shelf is solid wood which negates the design intent of allowing use of the remote. The remote sensor on my receiver is on the top half of the unit and is completely blocked by the wood portion of the door. I solved the problem by aligning the sensor with the small center gap between the doors. This makes the unit sit off-center and negates use of any other component of normal size on that shelf. The center shelf also has the lowest weight rating, but invites the largest component due to the headroom afforded. The lowest shelf's headroom is too low for a big receiver or amp. I have my DVR, Roku and Blu-Ray on the open shelf as it is too small to fit my center channel speaker. It is made for a small narrow speaker bar, not a full-sized center channel. I have my center speaker on top of the unit and the plasma is on the wall. Nothing on the bottom shelf. Capacities: 100 lbs on top shelf, 50 lbs for open soundbar shelf, 35 lbs for the middle big shelf, and 75 lbs for the bottom shelf. I wish I could use the bottom shelf for my receiver, but is is only 7" vs 7.5" for the middle shelf. It looks great though. Very heavy and sturdy, despite the simple fold out design based on a metal frame with wood sides and glass shelves.

Beautiful, Sturdy A/V Cabinet
from St. Charles, IL
The Bell'O cabinet is very attractive, sturdy, and made of quality materials. The cabinet does not require any tools to build, and it can be assembled in about thirty minutes. The cabinet doors are perfectly aligned and easy to open. The glass built into the doors allows IR remotes to control devices inside the cabinet. Openings in the back of the cabinet permit sufficient air flow for A/V receivers and other heat-generating devices.
