I’ve read and looked at Fein’s Oscillating Tool for years. I just didn’t see a real need for one, the price was not attractive. I talked about buying a cheap one just to see what the commotion was about, glad I didn't. I received an Oscillating Tool Kit for Christmas, and luckily it was a Bosch. I do own other Bosh Power Tools and Accessories. The tool looked and felt solid, ran very smooth. Now what’s the hype with this type of tool. Amazing I cut off a piece of 2x4 with ease, next was a piece of Red Oak, no problem. Very smooth controlled cutting, and sanding in very tight areas. The next 3 months I’ve cut just about everything, the tool does what the tool is suppose to do. The blades are a little pricy, don’t waste your money on bargain blades, their garbage. I wish the run time was a little longer, but it comes with two batteries that charge very quickly, small and portability is a plus, in tight areas a cord does get in the way. The tool is a specialty tool, it won’t replace a circular saw or a saws all, but it can help accomplish many jobs, faster and better. Tool less blade change, would be nice, not a feature I would look for. Tighten a nut and you know it’s secure, simple enough. Great little tool, once you use one, your hooked.

Works great, would prefer to have toolless blade attachment

Another great quality tool from Bosch. Does everything you'd expect from such a tool but it would sure be great if it had toolless blade attachment. The screw attachment method takes too much time and I'm afraid I'll loose the screw.

Comments about Bosch Tools Multi-X Oscillating Tool Kit:
Originally was given a Chinese version of this tool as a gift. That tool only lasted through a couple jobs, but it taught me the value of having a multi-tool in my collection. I bought the Bosch version knowing that it would be high quality. Love the versatility and the vast number of attachments available. I use the OSC 118F bi-metal blades most often. Has been very useful for a wooden boat restoration. Fantastic tool. You need one in your collection too.

I purchased this tool over one year ago. Has not let me down as a do it yourself home owner. Had purchased a competitor but the attachment would not stay on. Now I am a Bosch user.
Great Features for a Reasonable Price

I've wanted on oscillating tool for a while but didn't want to buy a cheap brand I know I would regret and in no way could I afford the high end models. This tool was the perfect compromise. It has a ton of power. Well Built. Sturdy bag and box. And a good range of heads. I'm glad I made the purchase and it has already proved itself worthy of being one of my go to tools.

I have had this tool for about 2 years and have used it extensively. It is one of the most useful tools that I own. It is especially good for cutting a pocket hole into a piece of wood. The offset blade also works well to cut off a nail at the backside of a board you wish to remove. The tool is solidly built and has plenty of power.
I needed the tool for 1 specific job thinking I would hardly use it again. I found I have used it for many more jobs & think it's great. Should have bought it earlier.
A must have in any tool collection!

This tool is fantastic! Extremely versatile and incredibly usefull. It has plenty of power and never bogs down. It also comes with lots of attachments.
Easy to use
My wife bought this for me for Father's day, and I wouldn't hesitate to take it to any job. It is a heavy duty tool that has so many different functions. First use was a little shaky, but each use since has been a breeze. Cutting tile, removing grout, making close cuts on wood flooring, or any other job is a breeze.
My Go-To Tool for so many things
from New Westminster, BC, Canada
As others have said, this tool is so versatile, from demolition-related tasks to paint stripping and sanding. There are so many uses that I find my self working on something and then remember "Of course, the Bosch oscillating tool will help me here". Removing old drywall is a cinch with the 4" serrated knife blade and with the dust collection attachment there is hardly any mess. The metal/wood blade cuts through anything and is remarkably easy to work with. It's like the swiss army knife of tools.

I got this tool to do some detail sanding and scraping on windows. The sawing ability/blades are an added bonus, but I'm sure I'll use them. The tool has plenty of power but the vibration is very well controlled. I thought about opting for the cordless version, but I'm glad that I opted for the corded version. I don't have to worry about running out of power at a bad time.
