I was in denial when my old stove slowly started dying for several weeks. When it finally stopped working we made a quick trip to ABT. I had no intention of buying a Samsung. While I respect them for their tablets and smartphones, I wasn't about to spend $2000 and up for a stove by Samsung. I carefully reviewed all the other stoves in the $1500-$3000 range. I wanted a 5 burner with a center grate for either grilling or making pancakes on the weekend. I came close with the GE, but I couldn't justify spending an additional $750. I took a chance on this stove and went with the 3 year warranty. I love to cook and I've been very impressed at the precise control of the flame whether sautéing or baking. It's been great so far and easy to clean. I highly recommend it and did I mention, It looks pretty sharp also.

I have had this range for a little over a month. I had to call Samsung service twice already to address 1) lose of sound on the control panel and 2) bake function not working. The product looks really good, but the quality is poor from my experience. Avoid buying.

Comments about Samsung Stainless Steel Slide-In Convection Gas Range:
Although I've only had it for a couple of weeks, i'm impressed with the features and the performance of the surface burners. The heat output is impressive, even for the simmer burner, and there is very fine control of the flame. I'm still getting the hang of the oven, but having conventional baking, convection bake/roast plus the warming drawer gives you amazing flexibility. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that I've found the top scratches very easily.

The only drawback I see is that the timers and alarms are not very easy to hear. Was used to a much louder sound with previous appliance. Love my new range!

About Me Avid Cook
An Excellent range at a very competitive price. The construction is sturdy. The stovetop burners are up to any task, from searing steak or bringing water to a quick roiling boil to gently melting butter or simmering soup. The removable heavy duty cast iron wok ring allows you to use classic round bottom woks directly over the 18000 btu burner. The center burner grill is reversible. Grill on one side, smooth on the other. like the wok ring it's heavy duty with emphasis on heavy. It did a great job with bacon and even flank steak, but a pan is much easier to clean. Unlike many other cooktops, all burners, from the 5000 btu to the 18000, smoothly regulate from high to low. The oven is spacious and the temperature is accurate. convection cooking is a little quicker than standard radiant heat baking or broiling so plan accordingly. The glass touchpad is my favorite feature. It is intuitive and precise. Touching a finger to the lower left corner wakes it up and the controls become visible. The look is far less cluttered than the membrane or touchpad controls on other ranges. You can turn on the interior light while the oven is closed and monitor baking through the large window. Last but not least the range is beautiful. Consumer reports rates this product above pro-style ranges costing thousand more and remember, Abt will price match. Very happy with this purchase.

*The following review was posted for the 9950 in error. It was intended for this very similar model(NX589500WS): just received this oven today and I absolutely love it. Excellent results in convection mode. Burners provide very strong to low heat that worked well for boiling water quickly or melting butter slowly. The construction is sturdy, and the design is stunning. Love the touchscreen interface for oven controls. Time will tell, but it seems like it'll last a lot longer than the membrane interface on most Other ovens. I feel this oven surpasses"Professional style" ovens costing thousands more.

Professional features, reasonable price

We are now spoiled, our old stove/range had four burners two of which we never used. It was adjustable from a boiling simmer to the flame going out. This Samsung has wonderful even burners you can easily achieve anything from an imperceptible simmer to a full rolling boil. The oven is also amazing, we bake our tortilla chips and you can put in a full tray, set the timer for 11 mins. and the tray is perfectly cooked very even and that's not using convection.
Samsung Slide-in Gas Range

The range looks terrific. It was a bit awkward putting in because of the little sidepieces that sit on top the granite and are glass, so you have to be really careful and of course NOT lift it up! The range works great except that all the small burners are in the back and if you have big pots in front on the big burners, sometimes it is hard to get to the small pots. Design flaw - at least one small burner should be in the front - my opinion! Really like the conversion to convection feature. However, the "pops" referred to in the manual as the oven heats up are sometimes more like bangs than pops. And the grates are not always level. If you put them on one way, they aren't and if you 180 degree them. they are! So just level them and maybe put some kind of mark on them for when you take them off to clean. Other than that, I love it!!! No other problems so far! And cheaper than most slide ins, but looks really expensive!
This range has excellent features.

The burners heat well and work well with a pressure cooker. The oven also works well. It fit in our space perfectly. We are very happy with the range so far however haven't used it that much. I haven't used the convection oven yet so need to read the book to make sure that works well also.
New Samsung gas range is a hit.
I use the range for everyday cooking and have no complaint. I like the quick heating aspect as opposed to the range I just replaced.
Gorgeous slide in range
This range is as high end as Wolf but with better design and a better price.
