• Ultra Low Temperature Operation: During the spring and fall, basement temperatures typically fall below 65 degrees (F) - especially near the floor. Once the temperature drops below this level, current dehumidifiers quit removing moisture from the air and simply ice up. Even those with dehumidifiers equipped with deicers will begin to freeze up. The deicer will get rid of any ice build up on the unit but ice will quickly reappear. The end result is that the dehumidifier will cycle the compressor on and off frequently without removing water from the air. The Basement Dehumidifier, however, sets a new standard of performance through the use of patented technology that makes it the ONLY dehumidifier on the market that will remove moisture from the air down to 44 degrees (F).
• AccuDry™ System: With Whirlpool's unique AccuDry™ System, air is pulled in from the front of the dehumidifier where moisture in the air can be sensed before it is removed, not like the competitive brands which sense the moisture content after dehumidification. This allows the dehumidifier to cycle on and off more regularly, providing reliable moisture control. Also, the AccuDry™ System exhausts out the rear of the unit preventing warm air from blowing directly into the room.
• 2-Speed Electronic Control Fan
• EZ-Empty™ Bucket (Front Removable): The front removable EZ-Empty™ Bucket features side handles that allow you to grasp the bucket for easy removal and emptying without having to move the dehumidifier away from the wall to get at the bucket. The top spout keeps water from splattering while you empty the bucket.
• Bucket Full Indicator Light: Whirlpool's smart dehumidifiers know when they are full. The Bucket Full Light tells you when it is time to empty the bucket and delays operation until you empty it.
• Adjustable Humidistat: The Adjustable Humidistat allows you to choose the dryness of the room for your family's comfort from normal to dry. The dehumidifier will cycle on and off to maintain your selected level of dryness and comfort.
• Modern Rounded Styling: With more and more consumers moving their family rooms to the basement, the unique rounded styling and neutral color allow the Whirlpool® dehumidifier to blend into your extended living space.
