I read reviews and knew this player didn't have a power light. The features and the brand name Samsung convinced me to buy this player anyways. I am glad I did. Small and compact. It fits nicely on my entertainment center. The features and ease of use is better than other players I have had. Set-up took less than three minutes. I really like the fact that I can wirelessly connect to my Samsung TV. The only thing I don't like is not knowing if I left the player on just by looking at the front.

Man. This player is just OK. Maybe I got a lemon. 1. First the controls are on top and not lighted. So impossible to use in the dark or in a tight cabinet or of something is stacked on top of it. Boneheaded "design". Designers should be forced to use their own products. Prob looked great on the computer screen though. 2. The remote is crazy. And perhaps this is the programming on the disks themselves. But I can usually not get the regular Play button to work. Usually I have to use the Scroll buttons and then hit the Enter button for any command to work. I guess I would expect the Play button to work like the Enter Button. It is just very non intuitive. It is impossible to figure out how to get to the main menu screen as quick as possible to just play a gd movie. 3. Arg. This is the worst. So many Blu Rays have problems playing. I have no clue if this is the player, copy protection, or the Blu Ray itself. But it is SO frustrating. After finally getting to the Main Menu I can't get it to just Play Movie. A lot of times I have to power down and power up the machine a few times and wait an eternity for it to get to the Main Menu. Then if Play Movie STILL doesn't work I can usually got to Select Scene and get it going. Ugh. This is literally a 10 minute process. I think this happened on 4 of the 5 movies on my newer Harry Potter Blu Ray set. Everyone is asleep by time I get the movie going. It should be so much easier than this. 4. It NEVER saves where I was in the movie when I stop and come back later or next day. Double Arg. I always have to go to Choose Scene and Fast Forward or Rewind to where I was. Just more time spent fumbling around :-( I look to see if if any updates or firmware updates are available but now even that option is grayed out on the machine. Just unlucky I guess. I will def replace it with Samsung or my Discover card before the warranty expires.

Very nice performer
Fine performance, especially for the price, although it's light weight makes it feel insubstantial.
Good value, could use a few tweaks
I have had my "smart" blu-ray for 2 years, and overall it has been very good. My only complaint is that I have to start it by physically pushing the button on the set several times until I hear it clicks, and then the screen comes up. It would also be nice if there were a light on the front showing that it is on.
Great Upscaling Blu Ray Player
from Pittsburgh, PA, USA
I have had this product for almost 1 year and the upscaling works great with my 4k tv. I also like that it is wifi enabled however the interface is a bit cumbersome.
PRODUCT SET UP
So far, this product has met my expectations. Set up was complicated by the fact that it took hours to figure out how to reduce the width of my monitor screen to allow me to view the entire typing screen. So, I didn't know what the right or left keys were.
Easy to use.

J6300 Blu-ray player
from Tampa, FL
Very nice product for the price. Replaced a higher line Samsung that was out of date. Plays great and streams great. Only complaint is controls are impossible to see on the unit, wish they were illuminated. But then I guess I could have paid more!

This products picture quality is a huge upgrade from Denon blu-ray player although I must say that it was 2005 player but the compatibility with my 2013 Samsung F5500 Plasma is pretty cool it took me a moment to get conneccted to my internet but once connected a thing of beauty, the up convert to 4k like resolution is not bad and the remote is pretty good with working in the smart hub and i haven't tried the 3D but i will edit my review but honestly I'm not a big fan of that feature although I have it available.
