Made several calls to support for help with internet connection via wireless router. After several trial and error procedures, was told that I needed the latest software version (USB stick was mailed to me). Went through another round of trial and error procedures. Automatically generated MAC address, IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway numbers but DNS Server were zeroes. Was told to call my router provider -- who couldn't help me because I couldn't remember my password and other changes I made when router was installed. Then I remembered that in one of my phone calls to Samsung support, I was told to manually input 8888 for the DNS Server . I wrote down the automatically generated numbers for MAC address, IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway number and manually inputted them, as well as manually input 8888 for the DNS Server number -- and finally was successful in getting internet connection via wireless router.

I got this for Christmas in 2015. I didn't really use it because I was still living at home and I didn't spend much time in my bedroom where my TV was. I started using it when I moved in with my girlfriend in September of 2016. The first issue was that none of the apps, but Netflix worked. Every time I tried to go on any other app the screen would just go black and it wouldn't load. Noticed some problems that would happen like I wouldn't be able to turn it on, or the picture wouldn't go to the screen, switched out my HDMI cord, still issues. I lived with that. Then on 11/02/2016 a new software update came through, I now cannot connect to the internet. I can connect to the internet on everything else. I tried a hard and soft reset, unplugging the router, unplugging the blu-ray player, nothing worked. Also, I HATE how you can't tell if it is on or not because there is no light on it. I think they should add more apps that you can download, for example on my xbox I can download HBO, MTV, etc. I cannot do that on this, and it makes me sad. If you're looking to buy this DO NOT. READ REVIEWS IT IS NOT GOOD!!!!!!!!!

blue ray player rocks
I just hooked up my blueray player last night and am so impressed. It was simple to hook up. The handbook explains everything in simple terms including a complete diagram of the remote control explains what each button does. There are so many features am pumped its got a usb port in front so you can pop a zip drive in and view photos as well as if you have photos on disc and music and movies. The applications too are unbelievable....its got the potential for 250 apps. Love it!!! The only thing ide like better is if the remote was universal but that's no big thing.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Bought DVD player as a gift in November, gifted it in for Christmas so when opened unable to return!!!! Product fine but would not shop there again due to return policy.
Was great for 2 weeks
This item was really good, for 2 weeks. A few days ago, it began freezing; in between titles on a DVD, or between episodes on NetFlix. It did not shut down because the TV did not show a "no signal" message. However, the only way to restore functionality was to disconnect the power plug from receptacle and reconnect. I used it with different TVs and HDMI cables. Same results. I returned it for exchange today. Will see what happens in the next 15 days.
Do not bother buying this product

This item is not worth the money. As it plays DVDs and Blu-Rays well, it is very poor at streaming. Connectivity is a constant issue. It is mostly off line and unable to connect to wifi. When we finally get it to connect, buy the time you go to an app it disconnects again. This just goes on and on. So sad.

Played all types of DVD's. Took many attempts to connect with my internet. When searching for support on this no help.
Digital Audio output is awesome. Bluray freezes up, no power-on indicator, slow response to commands
We returned the first one we bought when it kept freezing up and needing to be reset. The replacement one freezes less frequently but still does it. There is no way to see if power is on. Response time is slow for power on, eject disk, Netflix, etc. Digital Audio output is awesome however.
Good Blu-Ray Player
My only complaint is that there is no light indicating the player is on/off.

This model has no light letting you know wether its on or in standby mode.
