I bought this range as my 16yr. old GE was fading and I love to cook. This one looks as if I had a kitchen renovation. My husband built my cabinets years ago and fortunately he was able to move the end cabinet over to make the range fit very tightly in the space. I wasn't happy with the gap and there was nothing to bridge it. The cooking has been great: terrific convection baking of biscuits and cookies—(3 sheets of cookies at once!); baking and roasting of meats. I have used the cooktop most and I love using Twinkle to make it shine. Cleaning the oven was a pain but I have only cleaned it once so far. I learned not to use convection roasting with anything I put a lot of olive oil on—roast chicken, vegetables and french fries. I think the fan sends the oil all around the oven. BTW the fan is very quiet and when I got the stove, it wasn't working. However, they came and fixed it and if I shine a flash light into it I can see the fan spinning, even though it makes no noise. It is very slow to preheat but it cooks great when it does. The lower cook drawer is very shallow so my attempt to slow cook swiss steak in my cast iron fry pan down there didn't work. So I used the simmer on my large burner. I haven't used the drawer to cook yet, only to keep things warm. Overall, I really am happy with it!

Purchased the stove just before Thanksgiving. convection worked well for the turkey, but the cheesecake leftovers in the bottom of the oven will not clean off with the aqua clean. I'm currently working with the service department to have the floor of the stove replaced. I've purchased the 5 year extended warranty and plan on having the bottom of the stove replaced when ever needed.

Great range. Is there a griddle?

Comments about KitchenAid 30" Black Slide-In Gas Range:
We have had this range for about a year and are very pleased. We love the fact that we can make perfect pancakes on the griddle. We are looking for an accessory that we can use that also will allow us to grill steaks and prepare grilled vegetables. Does Kitchen Aid make such an accessory?
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I love this range. The oven is large and the baking drawer has come in handy. The stainless surface under the top grates cleans easily and without stains. It's a great stove.

Only drawback is that the oven didn't get up to heat properly initially because the gas line internal connection for the main oven was not aligned properly which stopped the oven from igniting properly. It was actually making a loud explosive pop when initially lit. Thanks to a really good repairman, he immediately aligned it and I an mow in business!

Bought year ago love ❤️ it Although the heat from it is intense.. maybe too much so that it has affected my cabinets and when using burners the fan on is a must..but i still love the look the cooking drawer the convection is amazing the overall cooking features ❤

This is a convection range, the convection light indicator doesn't function, had a repair specialist try to correct the problem 3 times, replaced multiple part and still no convection light indicator. The help line told the repair man that that is not a function on some models, I have to shine a flashlight into the oven to confirm the convection fan is spinning. I also find the some of stovetop burners difficult to control the heat, to simmer I need to switch burners

I really like the large burners being on the front. Having a fifth burner is great. The steam bake only had preset temp which disappointed me. I bought this to bake bread and my usual temp for it is well above the preset. Also the unit came scratched and we had to ask our retailer to fix it. Still waiting to see if that will work out

After only 6 months this very expensive oven would not work. It was saying that there was a fan failure, however the digital panel half of numbers are not working on that also. It took them over two months to change the fan and then another three weeks to replace the digital section on the top of the stove which is ridiculous.
Everything I've done has come out better than with my old stove.

The only problem I have with this stove is o had to convert it to propane and it's not as hot as natural gas which leads to undercooked food having said that I have figured out it's roughly 25' off and I make up the difference
