Moved into a new construction home and this came standard. Coming from high-end appliances prior to the move, this is a decent dishwasher. It's a bit loud, but this fades into the background. I like how the controls are hidden from view, which makes it harder for little hands to touch anything. Soap dispenser sometimes sticks, which is annoying.

We bought this dishwasher because apparently it was the only one that would fit our custom cabinets. It's great to have a dishwasher, but this is one of the worst I've ever used. I literally have to wash my dishes by hand before placing them inside. One day my mother in law was coming over and I needed to clear up the sink, so I just quickly rinsed all the dishes and put them in the dishwasher. When it was done I wasn't surprised 90% of them needed to be rewashed. Lately I've noticed that the soap doesn't fully dissolve, so after the load is washed 80% of the time I have to set it on the rinse cycle after running its normal cycle. The only problem with this is that I have to wait a really long time for the dishes to dry or I have to dry them by hand. It's kind of loud and has actually scarred me a few times. An hour and a half after starting the dishwasher one might forget until a loud noise is heard..lol! Overall if you pre-wash the dishes, wait for them 2 hours to wash, set a second rinse cycle, and then let them dry or dry them by hand it's a good dishwasher that looks really good. A pro is that the buttons are on the inside. I also read on other reviews that it's better to run the sink water on hot until it gets hot and then start the dishwasher. Somebody also said that the utensil caddy can be set on the right side so that the soap actually dispenses and dissolves. I hope my experience with this dishwasher improves after I try these things.

Comments about GE 24" Black Built-In Dishwasher:
I just moved into a home that was built by a large home builder and I love this dishwasher. It is not too loud and seems to work great so far!

Worst Dishwasher Ever
This dishwasher came with my new home. Worst dishwasher I have ever owned.
Works good so far. Need to use the heated dry option, otherwise dishes are really wet. It seems to be on the smaller side, may not work very good for families.
good product, but takes it's time
Came with our new house. Washes dishes good, gets them clean, but it takes a long time

This came with the house & is smaller than I'd like. I like the silverware holders, but they pop off frequently when unloading. The soap has not distributed fully several times. The dishwasher takes too long to dry, and turns on lights/beeps too easily whenever closing the door after inserting a new dish. BOO!
Doesn't dry all the way
Looks nice but doesn't dry all the way. Can be noisy at times.

Cleans beautifully, but a bit awkward to load. Silverware tray in front is a problem because it blocks the soap dispenser. We moved it to the right side which helped with soap dispenser issue and loading.

Who would have thought after years of never having to do it that you'd have to run your faucet with hot water before running dishwasher to get the dishes clean. Bought a new house and this dishwasher came with it. Ran two loads of dishes and both times had to run cycle twice. What a lot of extra energy for an energy efficient appliance. I have never had to run hot water before and I've owned many dishwashers. I have since mentioned my frustration to other people, to find that it's true. Why make something that requires an extra step? Frustrating to say the least. I'm going to check with other brands to see if that's their method, also. Other than that, dishes are great after cycle is complete.
