This Memorial day weekend I cut my fingertip along with the zucchinni, so the last thing I wanted to do was shop for new washer and dryer! But when old washer decided to suddenly flood, we bought the Electrolux set of front loading appliances with the drawer bases. At first we (senior citizens) thought we may not need top of the line, but after a few months of use, I can say we are extraordinarily happy with our choice, and make the laundry room a part of the tour of this Sun City (Mesquite, NV) home we had purchased only a month earlier. We like the quiet operation. Front loaders are easier on our aging backs, so are easier to use. I found the touch controls easy to understand and use. The appliances look nice in place. I found the steam function in the dryer a nice way to refresh most wrinkles out of dry clothes from closet, without rewashing or ironing them sometimes. (I have not used this feature too much yet, but seems to work better on some fabrics than on others?) My husband & I both feel that the quickest 15 minute wash does clean the clothes well, but that without adding another rinse to that, you still can see soap suds..I know we have cut to minimum on the HD detergent, so we are not adding too much soap. So most loads take about 50 minutes to wash with the added rinse. So the quick wash is not much of a plus to us...but this seems a very small criticism. Maybe others would chose to save the extra water & time, and don't mind a bit of soap left in? I like how easy it is to pause a load and restart - Just very happy in general. Buyers have to be happy with a high end price point, esp. if you add the pieces the washer and dryer sit on. But the bases are designed to be useful drawers a good added function we do use.

I bought this washer about 2 months ago. It does a good job at washing clothes and seems to dry better than our previous washer since the drying time is less now. However, it is noisier than expected, especially when water is pumped out during various times in the cycles. In fact, there is an annoying buzzing that transmits through the cabinet during this time to the extent that the utility room door is closed while is use. One beneficial feature of the washer is the fact that the door can be reversed to open to the right. In fact, this was the only washer that we found to allow us to do it. Our 1970's utility room is not very deep and we had to keep the washer to the right of the dryer due to venting for the dryer. Other than the noise issue, the washer is a great unit functionally and has nice features.

Comments about Electrolux Titanium Front Load Steam Washer:
My husband bought into the hype of the paid bloggers reviews and I now, unfortunately, have a washer that I hate. It was even $300 more for the refurbished model than than the brand new larger one that I wanted. It is too small. I hate front load washers. The wash cycles are too long... 47 min for a regular load or over 2 hours for the sanitize. I don't like the control panel. There is a bright light in the front that is blinding as you try to load the washer. I have only had it a few days, but I am ready to sell it on Craigs list at a loss.

Purchased this unit for ...
from SF Bay Area, CA
Purchased this unit for the selling point of "quiet Spin" no vibration, for a second floor Condo. Quiet spin as advertised. Unit does make other noises during pre-wash cycle and a little during actual wash cycle. There is a load thumping noise as the pump(s) pull water in from the water lines. Actually causes the pipes in the walls to vibrate and make noises. Kind of a thump noise. That is my only complaint and I'm afraid eventually it may cause my pipes to loosen and leak. (Hoping not) Haven't used the steam feature yet, but I like all the setting options available. From spin speed to water temp., to time of wash cycles, etc. Nice big drum for larger washes/items. Cool interior lighting and external lighting on dash. Cleans great and option to use powder detergent or Liquid. I prefer the liquid now and it's also recommended to use liquid detergent.

We bought the washing machine on 11/10/16 and use it many times. My wife is very pleased with the ease to use it as well with the performance. The laundry is very clean.
Great washer with one problem

This washer washes amazingly, and the 15 min wash program is awesome. Only complaint... socks constantly get stuck in the rubber drain by the door, and then the load won't drain. For such an awesome machine, it seems like such a dumb problem.

A superb clean and exceptionally quiet!

We purchased our Electrolux washer about two months ago and our overall impression is that we made a great choice Not only does the washer look great, it boasts simple controls and is really quiet. But where the washer really stands out is in its exceptional cleaning ability The "Smart Boost" technology has proven to be more than a marketing slogan. It actually seems to work and help enormously in clean, bright clothes. We noticed a real difference in the Whitest Whites cycle which definitely makes whites visibly brighter and whiter. Coming from a top load machine, the cycles are a little longer, but the high spin rates result in a shorter overall dry cycle; to the total load time is about the same -- and with towels, somewhat shorter.. Years ago, our family had one of the original Westinghouse Laundomat front loaders. They were, at the time, the only company selling front loaders in America. It was a great washer...lasted for years...and this Electrolux is the only washer that could do it one-better, with newer technology and great results. We're so pleased, that today, we had a new Electrolux dishwasher installed in our home. We're happy to be in the Electrolux family!

We bought this a little over a month ago. Was worried that my wife would have a hard time with the controls. Not the case, she is not having any problems and loves it. She has not seen our clothes come out this clean.
