This stove was delivered just before Thanksgiving WITHOUT A MANUAL which made using it the first time trial and error. Its good features are; easy to read digital display on the back board, delay start time, good control of gas flow using well marked gas knobs and self clean capability. Also, (though not a consideration for everyone) I found the separate metal grates for each burner on this gas stove model were lighter and easier to lift and clean than the larger metal grates covering half or all burners on other gas stove models. Because of this, I recommend someone in the market for a new gas stove should lift and move different kinds of stove grates before deciding on a stove for their home or workplace. The stove's bad features are; a bottom stove drawer handle hard to see and use, no control cues on how to lower oven temp below 350 degrees, and different "front" and "back" burner locations that could cause objects on burners to be unintentionally heated or not heated, at all.

I bought this almost two years ago. This is piece of junk!!! The stainless steel composite scratches without even touching it. The black top has to be cleaned all the time and it's impossible to keep clean. The oven temperature is NEVER correct. I have to put it on 310 degrees if I want 325 degrees. So I bought an oven thermometer and it goes up and down during cooking. This was a waste of money!!! I will never, ever buy another GE product.

Wonderful Gas Stove

Comments about GE 30" Bisque Freestanding Gas Range:
This stove came with the house that we built. We had never cooked on a gas stove before, but have definitely adjusted easily. The stove lights with the turn of a switch and heats rapidly. I can't see ever going back to electric!

Simple and convenient in use . Strong and very reliable
Simple but effective

Pros - individual light-weight steel grates. While shopping for units saw two "cast" iron grates that were broken (in the store!). Easy to use control panel. The oven broiler is nice, tired of bending down to floor level to get my garlic bread out of a floor-level broiler. Self clean feature is nice. This unit is not top-of-the line. However, for the price, it is a very good choice and does a great job with reliable cooking temperatures and even cooking
First gas range ever so easy to use and clean no issues so far.

We just bought this and it meets our requirements. My husband is legally blind and this stove was easy for him to operate compared to other stoves.

Perfect in every way
Reasonably priced - just one complaint

I love this range the range top is very easy to clean. Large, medium and small burner are nice features. However I would not recommend this model to anyone with children. The burners can easily be turned fully on without engaging the igniters. The igniters engage after gas is turned fully on, previous models I've owned ignite before turning the gas on. I live alone and have accidentally turned on a burner when I leaned against the front of the range to reach an overhead cabinet. I will keep it only because I live alone and am aware this could be a problem.
